I think you will find that this is part of the Millbrook Resort which has a golf course and several restaurants etc. It is very close to Arrowtown which is about 20km from Queenstown.

AAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..................................... The road to Glenorchy is FANTASTIC.............. If you be there, and you have a wonderfull evening let's go for it. I remember we drove from Queenstown to Glenorchy, after some rain, the weather became sunny, and that gave beautiful sunlight scenes on the mountains, and misty clouds hanging over the lake.I think it was a 40 minute drive to the "end" of the world. The road ended in this village, there was a cafe, and i remember 1 hotel, and a camping place. After drinking a cup of coffee, we started on our journey back............... and arrived in Queenstown by night.!! Hi Belinda, I've got a ticket for Millbrook at the event center in Queenstown, flying to CHC late on the 7th, staying at the Hotel So until the 12th then driving to Queenstown, hopefully a day trip to Milford Sound and a Bungy Jump ( well, maybe I'll watch others) before the concert, then drive to Waipara for the Sunday show. Why don't you go along, I need someone to help me stay on the ?correct? side of the road!!!.......TimJ

Queenstown is a tourist mecca with heaps of things to do while you are there so if possible you all should try to stay a few days before the concert. I am going early (staying at the Arrowtown motor camp in my tent) as there are two things I want to do. Firstly I am going on the Kingston Flyer which is the famous steam train which goes from Kingston at the southern tip of Lake Wakatipu to Fairlight 14km away and return. This trip is twice daily so I am going to video one trip before I go on the train.
Departure___________________Arrival Kingston 10:00am-------------Fairlight 10:30am Fairlight 11:00am--------------Kingston 11:30am Kingston 1:30pm---------------Fairlight 2:00pm Fairlight 2:30pm---------------Kingston 2:30pm
The second trip I am going to do is on the steamship TSS Earnslaw which goes from Queenstown across the lake to Walter Peak Station which is a high country farm where they do animal viewing, demonstrations (sheep shearing and dog work) plus a barbecue.
TSS Earnslaw Cruise, farmyard tour, animal viewing / demonstrations and barbecue meal (bookings essential) *Departs 10.00am Returns 1.35pm or *Departs 12.00noon Returns 3.35pm
Other things to do in Queenstown include jet boat trips which are great fun, white water rafting for the adventurous daredevils. And of course Bungy jumping.

Reports like your no. 13 post are very helpful, Ross.
It is interesting she is doing a winery tour as I started a thread, still not complete as I haven't gone throught the wines yet, based on a NZ wine promotion in the local chain store some months back.
My ideal trip would not be to follow Hayley around NZ as that would be tied too much to her speed rather than my inclination but to base myself in Christchurch WHEN she is going to do a Christchurch Town Hall event.
You kiwis are obviously going to try and do what I did for the Pure tour when I first encountered Hayley, use her events as a chance to travel a bit in your own country, as I used her concerts to travel the UK.
Seeing her in Christchurch amongst her own is my great desire. Thereafter, I would like to take my time and simply go where my mood takes me.
Thanks for teh background on Queenstown.
Peter S.
