Hello Stephany and everybody! I've found a thread about this concert on the ClassicalX Forum, which may or may not help. Richard Hi Richard No doubt the tickets will give us a clue as to the actual venue when they arrive! My guess would be that Ingatestone Hall was the intended original venue and they've backed out with Orwell park stepping in. Best wishes Grant

My guess is that Grant is right and that someone has got hold of an out-of-date news item from somewhere. We have been told it is Orwell Park right from the start and I don't think there is any real doubt about it.

Hi Everybody,
Thanks for the information Stephany.
I have done a search on google and an 'Ingatestone Hall' doesn't even exist in Ipswich. There is one in Essex though.
I think it is safe to say the concert is at Orwell Park.

Hi everybody, This concert has been removed from Blake's forthcoming appearances on their official website. They are still doing the Broadland concert with Hayley and All Angels though. Stephany

No mention of Blake, I forgot to ask, but Hayley and All Angels. They did not know at the box office if the house would be open, that has to be checked out separate,ly which i haven't done as yet. As with Biswell? the garden event last year, it is a matter of being early in the queue. Gates open 5:00pm and box office lady recommended at least half-an-hour early. No problems with picnics and folding chairs as long as they are not vast double-decker varieties like tennis umpire's or beach life-guard's chairs. Presumably no awnings in the event of rain! Hi Peter, It looks like Blake are not appearing.. From the official site...... Orwell Park Classical Spectacular, featuring Hayley Westenra, All Angels and The London Gala Festival 50-piece Orchestra, with conductor Mr Stephen Bell. Followed by a fantastic firework finale and Spitfire air display.
This is an open air picnic concert. Audience are permitted to bring their own food and alcohol. Strictly no glass. Barbecues, open fires, garden flares, gazebos, windbreakers, or tented structures are not permitted............. Hope that helps.
Graham

My ticket has arrived too, let's hope for decent weather. Mine too. There's quite a forbidding list of disallowed items on the back of the ticket. It also says "This event is on grass, please wear appropriate footwear". It will be interesting to see what Fiona Pears wears if she's there! I was slightly disturbed that the ticket was addressed to Mrs so I may need to wear a dress to get in James

Mine too. There's quite a forbidding list of disallowed items on the back of the ticket. It also says "This event is on grass, please wear appropriate footwear". ... Hi all, I've just got a letter from Ticket East, but there was only a white sheet of paper (20 x 29 cm, normal letter size) included: Orwell Park Classical 13th July 2008
1 x Adult ...
You will not be permitted to bring to this concert Gazebos, etc.I'm a little bit confused - there's no text (regarding the footwear) on the back of the paper. Therefore my question: Is this paper the ticket ? Cheers, Karsten
