Wow! What fabulous photos. Thanks Steve, Stuart and Karsten.
Karsten, with you at Lincoln I don't think I need to take my camera!! Fabulous!
This must have been quite a concert.

Steve,
That piece alone would have been worth a trip to the UK. Sorry I missed it. Thanks for posting the video.

Yay, thanks very much Steve and Dave for the video. I can almost imagine I was there. Hang on a minute... I was there! Special thanks to Roger for transportation to Dave and Dave for preparing the Video for posting. Steve, you are not the first to suggest that I may be suitable for transportation but I'm not sure of Australia would have me! Roger

Many thanks to the dream team Steve, Dave and Roger for their combined and very successful efforts. So there's no harm for me that I completely focused on the lyrics. Thanks again and all the best, Karsten

Thanks for the video Steve and Dave. For those of us rusty with the words, all together now : Land of hope and glory, Mother of the free How shall we extol thee, who are born of thee ? Wider still and wider shall thy bounds be set God make thee mighty, make thee mightier yet ! This version seems better than that at Broadlands. Hang on a minute, no wonder it sounds better ! Four people are missing !! No doubt they were engaged in an equal sporting contest, arm-wrestling children or playing tug-o-war with some grannies !!

Well done everyone who posted at Nacton (Orwell Park), you all managed to capture the day and your photos capture the mood of tenterhooks if the rain would hold off. I thought I had left it too late to post here then seeing the four Angels in their multicoloured dresses which we thought must have been a new, very expensive coutured presentation, I remembered an after concert incident which I have to share--though perhaps not too openly so as not to reveal too many secrets. First the concert. We had a pleasant time together hanging around in the road waiting to be let in and a further pleasant chat hanging around inside the grounds waiting to be let further in! For nearly 25 years between 13 and my mid-thirties I experienced mixed weathers doing this sort of thing being involved in a two-week open-air Shakespeare Festival. There was a major difference: the actors got wet and the audience were in the stand, as with Garsworth but without even that little covering over the stage for the performers! So these sorts of events bear much nostalgia for me. I had no idea then of how much this would be but a soufflé to Dunstable. At the time I left I was totally unfazed by the queue to get out. How many noticed that gloriously magnificent black German Shepherd sitting patiently by its minder at the front of the house on the way out? Hulking great brute of an animal with such a magnificent glossy black coat. Just sitting there it exuded power, strength and majesty. Back to the concert. Here was the double delight of All Angels, a superb orchestra and Hayley. The bringing together of her otherwise 'string of concerts' under a collective title is a brilliant idea and gives a sense of cohesion. Looking back the contrast between Orwell and Dunstable gives a balance by widening perspective and the concert experience. I also think that balancing a solo singer with a group and all being female provides both a contrast and a harmony which is not only unique but pleases both the ears and the eyes! Now, two things. First, to whomsoever posed the question, yes, in 181 it is I who managed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time! Full marks to me for consistency! Two, at breakfast the next morning, whom did I meet? Daisy's parents and thereby hangs a tale. In course of conversation I mentioned the magnificence of those gowns the girls had worn. "Oh yes, such an exclusive designer!" Well, any boy hoping to catch any of those girls will be relieved about one thing--they are very economically minded. The girls were in town together 'looking around'. I guess Oxford Street as London would be the obvious base for meeting up with their diverse addresses. All four dresses were found on the same 'off the peg' rail and they all fitted. To say more would be a secret too far! Peter S.
