Hayley, Elizabeth Marvelly and Shaun Dixon will perform at the Lakeside Charity Concert on February 9, 2008[/color]. They will be accompanied by the full 80-piece Mauakau City Symphony Orchestra to raise money for the Matakana Music Charitable Trust.

HAYLEY WESTENRA Lakeside Charity Concert.
This is the fifth annual concert of the Matakana Music Charitable Trust in which we are delighted to present to you our world famous HAYLEY WESTENRA coupled with Kiwi tenor SHAUN DIXON and emerging artist ELIZABETH MARVELLY accompanied by the full 80 piece MANUKAU CITY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CONDUCTED BY PROF. UWE GRODD.

The concert will be held in the wonderful natural amphitheatre olive grove of the National Saddle Centre, Matakana on SATURDAY 9TH FEBRUARY 2008. Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic and join in the party & carnival atmosphere of this event.

MUSICAL PROGRAMME

We are basing our programme on the hugely successful format of the world famous Glyndebourne concerts in England where they combine the formality of a concert with the atmosphere of an outside social occasion.

5pm to 6pm -- Gates Open to be parked by 6pm @ latest.
5pm to 6.30 -- Pre concert drinks & picnic with live guitar and Irish Band music.
6.30 to 7.00 -- Fine art auction..
7.00 to 7.15 -- Important announcements, introduction by MC.


7.15 to 8.00 -- ACT 1• The Manukau Symphony Orchestra will play a selection of modern and clasical music.
8.00 to 8.30 -- Interval with raffle draw.
8.30 to 9.15 -- ACT 2 • Shaun Dixon witha tribute to the late Luciano Pavarotti, the Elizabeth Marvelly will sing songs from her new CD both accompanied by the full orchestra.
9.15 to 9.45 -- Interval

9.45 to 10.30 -- ACT 3 • Hayley Westenra singing songs from hew new CD "Treasure" and old Kiwi favourites accompanied by part of the orchestra.
10.30 to 11.00 -- Time to socialise over last drink before departing by 11.30pm

• Tiers 1 & 2. $100 per head.
This is an individual seating area closest to the stage and is a relatively flat area extending around the retaining wall above the lake. Your position will be unreserved so those first in will be able to choose their preferred spot, bring your own chairs (sand chairs only) or picnic rugs. Reserved disabled area with full sized chairs tier 1, $115 per head.

• Tier 3 & 4. $115 per head.
These are premium reserved areas on a modest slope with full sized chairs on tier 4 and sand chairs on tier 3 directly facing the stage with good views of the surrounding countryside. Available for parties of a minimum of 12 or more guests.

• Tier 5. $130 per head.
This is a flat area with commanding views of the stage and the surrounding countryside. Each marquee will be provided with full size chairs, two tables with tablecloths, glasses & cutlery and a BBQ. Service will include your own bar waitress and special offers from the licensees for pre-ordered bulk drinks orders, and forward location parking. Clients to supply their own food. Suitable for corporate entertainment or party groups of 16 sharing a half marquee or 32 people for your own full marquee. Sponsorship and corporate signage opportunities.

• Tier 6. $90 per head.
This is an area made possible because the stage is set back across the end of the lake. Still good views but on a steeper slope with a side view. Suitable for fit guests on an individual basis, choose your own spot and bring your own sand chairs or picnic rug.

I see Shaun Dixon will be appearing with Hayley. They might sing 'All I Ask Of You' together, which was an outstanding track on Hayley's first album with Universal New Zealand. It would make a great encore!

Unfortunately, we (Marianne & I) had no knowledge whatever of that date or venue so we're in Wellington on that day about 750 Kms South.

The morning after we're booked on the Ferry to cross to the South Island.

This sounds like a Dori possibility.

What do you think Dori? Couple of hours North of Auckland. Easy drive. Star Cast.....you've got to check out Elisabeth Marvelly anyhow.

I now confirm i WON'T be able to attend this concert. This is for personal reasons of trasportation and accomadation. Unfortunate as it is, i do respect my parent's worry of me going alone, and they could not accompany me. I was very muc looking forward to seeing both, Hayley and Elizabeth in concert, but 'life happens'.

Hello Graeme,
I will be making a 'final announcement' about which concert i will be attending very soon. Unfortunately i have a number of personal issues to resolve at the moment in my life, and they might get in the midst of Hayley's tour. Having said that, i will be making a final decision soon and letting everyone know. It's horrible to have Hayley so close, yet for her to feel so far away. Life does happen some times, and it obviously doesn't go our way when we would like it to. Hopefully i won't dissapoint too many people on HWI, because that has been my greatest concern.
