What dress was she wearing? I couldn't recognise it Hi Northern Lights Looks to me like the latest black one. No doubt one of the girls will be able to confirm which one! Best wishes Grant I recognize the dress. It's that black and silver one, which she wore during her christmas concerts. Dori

Thanks Dori! That's the one I was thinking of when I responded to Northern Lights. I was just about to head out at the time so didn't have time to search either the concert threads or my excuse for a brain! Best wishes Grant

Hello! I am a Spanish fan of Mike Oldfield and the past Friday 7 march I had the pleasure to view the concert of presentation of Music of the Spheres in the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao. The performance of Hayley was wonderful!!! She sang in direct of a skillful form, with a precious voice, the two songs of the disc: On my heart and On my heart reprise. And she was very handsome and attractive. You can view and extrack of On my heart live in Bilbao: es.youtube.com/watch?v=EhZg0Vl1JCo (00:27) In addition, after the concert, it took care of to us amiably a group of Spanish fans of Mike Oldfield. It is very likeable and amiable, and we became a photography that you can see here: www.mikeoldfieldblog.com/2008/03/12/una-fotografia-con-hayley-westenra/Also it signed a dedication to us to Spanish fans of Mike Oldfield in a paper of the score of the orchestra: www.flickr.com/photos/mikeoldfieldblog/2324704113/sizes/l/Greeting from Spain. Hello! I am a Spanish fan of Mike Oldfield and the past Friday 7 march I had the pleasure to view the concert of presentation of Music of the Spheres in the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao. The performance of Hayley was wonderful!!! Hello David and welcome from me too! You are fortunate to have seen this concert, I wish I could have been there! Nice photo, too. I think this concert is interesting for one thing that hasn't so far been mentioned (well i haven't seen it!). It shows that the album can be performed "live" in its entirety and it begs the following question. If the critics (and fans who were there) liked it, and if the album is successful, would Mike be tempted to take Music of the Spheres on tour? I suspect that if he wants to, it wouldn't be hard to find a promoter to take this on. It would probably not be hard for Mike to persuade Hayley to join in either... All this is pure speculation and it's too early to guess about the chances of this happening but it is the kind of concert that could do very well on tour if the album does well. Concert Halls would be better than outdoors or arenas, I think... but we shall have to wait and see. Cheers, Dave

There is an article in today's Daily Mail about this concert and the release of MOTS in their weekly "music" slot. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner, but Hayley is described as a "dazzling soprano". It mentioned that Hayley "flew all the way from New Zealand" to be there!!! Did she? I thought she had been in London, has she sneaked off back home while we weren't looking, or is that jusy journalistic licence? Anyway the article was complimentary about the album and Hayley's singing at the concert. I really think this is going to be good for Hayley. BTW, I was not sure where best to put this. It could have belonged either here, or in the MOTS album thread, or in "Hayey in the Media". Mod's, if you would prefer it somewhere else, feel free to move it with my blessing.

Hello everyone, I've been reading the Mike Oldfield forums (tubular.net) and there's been some discussion (of course) about the Bilbao concert. I thought I'd share with you the relevant extracts from reviews published by three Mike Oldfield fans who were at the concert, published in this thread, I'm sure they won't mind. From Korgscrew (Forum Admin) Mar. 09 2008, 17:22: From Inkanta (Another Admin) Mar. 10 2008, 21:35: From BTH Mar. 11 2008, 22:06: I think they liked Hayley's contribution! Dave
