Thank you Mark for the final part of the story. We'll have to talk about Kilworth and what your plans are. I've got a couple of concerts before then. Best wishes Grant Gosh Grant, you aren't planning a trip to Washington are you? That really would be dedication. We are off to Stephanyland for a holiday on thursday and won't be back till 20th July. Kilworth is of course the next day! We will be there, but will be with another couple who probably won't want to hang about after the concert unfortunately, so I might not get much chance to socialise with others from HWI or meet Hayley. I have to work that day too, so won't be there early. But it will be great just to be there anyway. See you Martin

Thanks for sharing your experiences at the concert with us, and your nice pictures of Hayley and the scenery. I always like to see what it's like in other places, so it's nice when you all share photos like that with us. So, she did sing Pokarekare Ana after all? I was going to say, this was probably the first time I've ever seen that song missing from her song list! I thought it was one she always sang, and always would sing, at her concerts. I'd certainly be disappointed if she didn't sing it at a concert I went to (I may never have to worry about that, though ). I'm not familiar with "Songbird". I hope it's not on the Greatist Hits album. I don't want to have to buy it just for one song. Otherwise, I have no need for it. Besides, can they really say it's one of her greatist hits if it's a completely new song? I hope it's on her next, new album instead.

Hello Mark, Thank you very much for the latest installment of the story. What a wonderful and thoughtful gift you offered her - well done! It seems obvious that Hayley was sincerely touched and grateful for it. After Porthcawl last year, it sounds like you always have Hayley for yourself at the stage door What a lovely picture of you & our favourite singing lady! Your new avatar, perhaps? We are off to Stephanyland for a holiday on thursday and won't be back till 20th July. Martin - enjoy your trip to my part of the world. It would be great if you could take some pictures so we can all have a taste of what you saw Have fun in France! Stephany

Many thanks for your great report, Mark! It's a pity you didn't get to meet Sophie, but hopefully you'll get another chance before too long. Now I can't wait to read about this mysterious present. Although I wasn't at Buxton, I do remember that Andy's wife is Vicki. Best Wishes, Richard Hi Richard Thanks for your kind comments. I think you may be thinking of a different Andy The Andy I am refering to wasn't an HWI member when I met him on Friday, although he is a member of the official forum. However, I see that just this morning he has joined us (andythomson). Assuming I am right, a very warm welcome to HWI Andy. Best wishes Mark

Hi everyone I have just thought of a couple of humorous things that happened that I didn't include in my report. As you know, it was a cool damp evening and while the audience were all wrapped up in raincoats, Hayley was of course wearing a fairly short light pink dress, with no sleeves. After commenting that in view of the weather she was really surprised to see no empty seats. "Don't worry about me" she said " I've got my thermals on under this" i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAlso, at the start of the second half, Hayley asked if we had all had a good interval and then told us that "finding the toilets was an interesting experience for me during the interval" i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Hayley had obviously had to walk a fair distance through the crowds, due to the fact that there were obviously no toilets back stage. Judging by the queues when I past past the ladies toilets later on, I would guess that she had quite a wait. I think Eugene may have a little story to tell us here Mark

Discussing future concerts after the concert in Belfast, I was a little surprised that Fiona and Ian did not have Dunstable in their diary, especially when it does not clash with any of Fiona's tour with her band. Do I recall that Simon Lole was on the piano stool for Hayley on the Japanese tour. Will we see Simon and the regular (All Angels') string quartet with Hayley in future? We will certainly find out at Dunstable being the first concert where a band will be required. (Henley and Orwell Park are providing full orchestras). Martin

Hi again Here are the final few pages: I dont think there is anything new in there but I felt it was quite a good concise history of Hayley, particularly for any members of the audience that don't know Hayley that well. Best wishes Mark

Hi Mark, I can't recall exactly but it seems to me that the description for Hayley was copied (directly) from Wikipedia Anyhow, it's precise and pretty well written. Tin

Hi Mark and Tin Thanks for the latest scans. I think most of the write up is a 'cut and paste' from various sources, including, as Tin says, Wikepedia. Some other passages come from "The World At Her Feet". This inevitably leads to a few inaccuracies like the 2005 Amerian reference which suggests that there may be some movie work in the pipeline! There may well be, but not from that period I suspect. What really niggles me about this write up is the constant reference to "Westenra this" and "Westenra that" Just using surnames is one of my pet hates! Best wishes Grant (getting off high horse now )

Hi Mark, thanks for the scans from the programme. Even though most of it is well known to us it would certainly help those who were hearing Hayley for the first time. Best Wishes, Graham

...What really niggles me about this write up is the constant reference to "Westenra this" and "Westenra that" Just using surnames is one of my pet hates! ... I'm with you on that one, Mr. Grant. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBut what I find a tad absurd is the length to which all her nutritional concerns are addressed. What does that have to do with the concert at hand? Are they trying to foster a sense of familiarity beforehand so concertgoers will feel more connected to "Westenra" going in? As Grant implies, that would be far more successful if they would refer to her as "Hayley". In any case, I suspect that too much distracting information is spilling forth and it would serve Hayley better to have them rein it in.

For the six thousand two hundred and eleventh time (approximately ) Pure spent nineteen weeks at no. 1 in the NZ album chart not 18. It would help if Decca bothered to get it right once in a while in their press releases but sadly, they never do. I have tried! Cheers, Dave (getting off his high horse i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif )

Yes, I believe that "The Littlest Star" was performed at Fendalton Primary School, not Cobham Intermediate. So that's something else they got wrong.
Thanks for posting this Mark, overall Itink it is a pretty good summary despite the errors.
