Hey Dori, You should definitely go. Otherwise you will probably regret it - don't forget that it is an intimate venue, there's Belinda, Graeme & Marianne but also Hayley's family!! It could be your chance to have a lovely time with everyone and especially of course enjoying a memorable concert. We Europeans (and Americans) are all wishing to be in your position so don't hesitate, GO GO GO What's money compared to what you could get in return? Stephany

Hello all, I am definitely considering going to Keri Keri, simply because i need a little time from home!! Does anyone know how much concert tickets would cost? I'm guessing i would have to stay the night, depending on how late the concert will end. I've never done this before!! What do my fellow HWI'ers suggest?? :2fun: Dori

The Centre has finally updated their site this is what is there. Hayley Westenra in Concert Proudly sponsored by Kauri Cliffs This incredible concert features Hayley singing her favourite selections, accompanied by her musical director Ian Tilley on piano and internationally acclaimed violinst, Fiona Pears. Saturday, 26th January 08 www.centakeri.com/WhatsUp19Oct/hayleywp.htmThe four years since the release of Hayley Westenra's debut international album Pure have been a whirlwind. Along with her second album Odyssey and her third, Treasure, she has achieved combined sales of well over three million albums around the world, making her a household name in many countries and breaking many records along the way. Pure is still one of the fastest-selling classical albums in the history of the UK charts and Hayley is also the best-selling classical artist in Japan. Her latest album, Treasure, has recently become her third album in a row to hit both the top 10 of the UK album charts, and top of the classical charts in the UK - an astonishing achievement for a classical artist who is still only just 20! Despite all of this success, Hayley still remains the same unaffected down-to-earth girl from Christchurch, New Zealand. With all of this going on, Hayley still manages to be one of the youngest ever Ambassadors for UNICEF and is planning a second trip to Ghana. "Meeting young people that are the same as me but with such a different world of opportunity has a profound affect on you. I aspire to be a singer, which seems so unessential compared with their simple desire for a regular cup of clean water. You can't go somewhere like that, meet those people and come back unchanged," she says. Since her first trip, Hayley has set up "Hayley's Bikes for Ghana", a project that has already provided 6,000 bikes for children in Ghana so they can attend school and find a better future (for more details: http://www.unicef.org.nz) She also has a deep interest in music therapy and is a patron of the Raukaturi Music Therapy Centre in Auckland. The Centre uses the Nordoff Robbins method in using music as therapy for children with autism and other severe physical, intellectual and emotional disabilities. Hayley has appeared on both the BBC in the UK and CNN in the US with her own news features aimed at raising awareness in the benefits of music therapy. Coincidentally, in a recent survey on music therapy by a British Medical Journal, Hayley's voice was described as having the most "calming and therapeutic quality " of all music tested. She requires a quite different quality in her voice when she performs at any of the numerous sporting events around the World, which have included football (the FA Cup Final, in The European Champions League) baseball (the NBA in the US), Tennis (The Mercedes Cup in Los Angeles) and what is her proudest duty, singing the New Zealand anthem for her beloved All Blacks rugby team Belinda
