Hi everyone. A quick 'hello' before dashing off to a dinner with friends from college I haven't seen in a long time but I spent an hour or so looking over the whole of this thread and annotating comments for one post. First, a point that I am certain will be echoed by EVERYONE on this board VERY WELL DONE ALL KIWIS, especially Belinda, Graeme, Marianne. Thank you for your reports and your photographs. You have done us proud and if we away from you have done as well for your sense of involvement as your posts have done for us, we know our efforts are worthwhile. It is as if we were there with you and especially as latterly we have enjoyed Jill's company too, but you had nearly the whole family. It was great. Well done all of you and thank you very much indeed. Your 177 post, Belinda… sat down at the piano and sang Sonny. ‘I’m new at this. Very good way of introducing herself to this form of presentation. That must have been incredible. Now, how was the piano positioned? Presumably it was a grand so she was facing down the piano towards the audience, rather than the piano facing in and her turning sideways to the audience, which trick she’ll probably want a little more time to settle down to for that informality. That was certainly a wonderful addition. This leads me to another question, how much holiday time did she fit in and how much time was spent practicing the piano? Your 206 post Northern Lights regarding water around electric cables, it wouldn’t be fire that would be the problem but electrocution! Thank you Graeme for your 206 first picture post. One gets the impression she’s back in NZ, with family and friends and so at home that formality (dignity, almost!) has flown quite out of the window because she’s at home and ON HOLIDAY!!!!! Post 253 Graeme, perhaps the unknown lady in your pics will have been so Hayleywowed she will indeed join us out of the necessity of not having to wait another year or two without learning more of Hayley. If you do, unknown lady in a superb dress, do tell us it is you when you arrive, please. Welcome in anticipation! Hi Isaac. You and I haven’t met yet—I last saw you at The Palladium—but it is great to keeping touch with you indirectly. So too for you Sophie. Sorry you weren't there but perhaps before Hayley leaves we'll catch a glimpse of you? Belinda? IS Sophie likely to be back from Germany before Hayley finishes performing in NZ? Your 261 post, Graeme, it certainly is a lively picture of an animated Jill, what animated her? It seems more like a look of astonishment than a ‘charge into the fray’! I LOVE ALL KIWIS, especially a very special few! Peter S.

Hi Peter Your last post, a very good summary of events. Reminded me to look back at the thread because I couldn't remember reading about 'Sonny' or about the trapped dress. Discovered I'd missed Belinda's post about the second part of the concert and will now put on my dunce's cap and go stand in the corner! Best wishes Grant

I guess I missed it, too. I've been keeping up with it as best I can, but I still haven't read about the dress incident. I guess that would explain why my question keeps getting ignored, but I would've thought someone would say it had already been posted, if it has. So, where is it?

Hi Libby, This is what i said re the dress in Reply 177 Then like a bolt of lightening she said thats the end and disappeared of stage and of course we were having none of that and clapped and stamped our feet to she returned i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHayley Headed for the piano and sat down and said I'm new at this but i do love playing the piano this is called Sonny. Sorry Hayley But sometimes when I'm thinking you'll never coming back to NZ. I change the words about someone else not coming home Hayley did the song proud then like all of us there The seat did not want her to go either and stayed attached to her dress she had moved the seat forward and it took about 3 attempts to get it free. I was thinking be careful don't rip it Belinda

Thanks for that, Belinda! I missed your report about the dress incident too, but now I've read your posts again in full. I'm pleased you had such a great time with Hayley, and vice versa! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Hello everybody! I think Belinda may have added to her reports after we'd read them, so you can read them again in full starting HERE. The story about the dress is in Belinda's second post, as linked to by Roger. Richard
