Hello again, @ Thomas: many thanks for your welcome. I heard Hayley for the first time in the ICE when in 2005 "Pure" was given as a board program for one month. In April of the current year I have discovered HWI and its great reports. When the opportunity came up to get a ticket now, I snatched at the offer immediately. Now I have to arrange a short holyday in the U.K. around the concert. Maybe there will arise the opportunity to meet some HWI members personally on 3rd August. In any case, I will be there. All the best from Germany, Karsten

Hi Karsten. Welcome to HWI and wow! a holiday in the UK to see Hayley. Jolly well done. It will be a pleasure to meet with you and it will be fun to read not just your posts on meeting Hayley but to read your diary on your UK visit.

Hi everybody, I remember a recent interview where Hayley said how she particularly liked this venue. Had I been in Manchester... Original link to the full interview : Hayley chats to "I Like Music". Stephany PS : Grant & Karsten, I suppose you're going to both performances?
Your post 7, Stephany brings happy memories for me too. I was there on the second performance and while BBC Cardiff a few weeks back was superb and interacting with Hayley as a young woman instead of being a 'schoolgirl', it was fun in those days of having her mum there too, to chat too in spare moments and observing her catching photographic moments just as Steve, Stuart, Grant, Dave...I won't go on, do now.
It is great hearing Hayley record how she felt in those days when oneself was around her. While she may mention one or two key HWIers, it will be great reading her second biography knowing one was often there in moments she will describe and really learning for the first time the impressions those events made on her.

Hi Peter, thank you for the welcome. I will visit the concert on 3rd August. If you already know the locality, it would be fine if you could suggest a meeting place for the HWI's. We must talk about the diary of the trip once more ..., actually, I only wanted to relax during the trip. See you soon, Karsten

Hi Stephany, many thanks for posting the article. Up to now I have only one ticket for the concert on 3rd August. If there should be directly on site still tickets I will likely buy one more for 4th August to top it all off... Many greetings to France, Karsten

We must talk about the diary of the trip once more ..., actually, I only wanted to relax during the trip. See you soon, Karsten Dependent upon when you are meeting, the Abbey itself--there is a coffee bar near by if the weather is inclement but otherwise basic for emergencies only. Am I right in thinking there aren't any toilets--no, they bring in portaloos! Beyond that, as the Abbey is away from the town centre--Shrewsbury Abbey is only the church--then anyone with a preference for a meal should identify an eating place. Look on my report of Shrewsbury and see if anything is mentioned there, otherwise try an internet map (via Google). I have a feeling I enjoyed the Old Post Office BUT, I was there for a weekend to enjoy the area. There are attractive walks in the town and along the river. My 'ease' of walking around might be too strenuous for ladies if not in country or practical shoes. At that time I was fully fit and a good walker around so I cannot think of what time or energy is involved. Peter S.

Hello Peter,
thank you very much indeed - the Abbey itself will be the right choice I guess.
I will be there early enough looking for other members of HWI.
According to Stephany's question now I booked another ticket for the following concert on 4 August, too. So there will be one chance more to meet.
Karsten

Thanks for the info, Karsten. You have no idea how tempted I am. Edit: after a quick check, I noticed that airplane tickets are already too expensive. *sigh* Not for this time!
