According to a blog, Hayley was in Woburn for a press launch on June 26. I suppose that's where the pictures & interviews come from. Best wishes, Stephany

Very interesting Stephany, post #41. To me the interesting points are: - "On the CW tour: "A fantastic experience. It was very different working with a group of people as opposed to being a solo artist and having complete control over the stage though," she says.
"...and we were travelling in a tour bus for a start, which was a completely new experience...I've heard plenty of tales from pals who have done the 'tour bus trek', and not all of those tales are the most savoury...There were definitely times when the novelty had definitely worn off, and I thought: 'OK, I would actually quite like to be in a hotel room and settle, rather than having to try and sleep for four hours, get woken up and then try to go back to sleep..."
Now, why would she be woken after four hours? Wouldn't they just go through the night, quietly parking if arriving early?
- "I go through stages of just worrying about one thing at a time, and what is really nice at the moment is that I'm settled – I have a flat in London, and I'm in the process of buying a place in London... When I get that it will be fantastic and I'll be a lot more settled. I'm really enjoying being back here.."
So, dependent upon when this interview took place, she is in fact still looking to buy?
- "... although I'm not sure whether George Bush is that musically inclined...."
Oh subtle lady, so, so diplomatic! Intelligent girl indeed! Rather implies her opinion ain't that different from the rest of the intelligent world!
If one considers that the people before whom she has individually performed include: The Queen, The Prime Minister of England and The President of the United States, fine, well done lady, that is indeed a considerable accolade and that is the way she should ensure her publicity machine promotes it. To specifically name the politicians in office, later 'dates' the event and might tarnish (or enhance) the achievement dependent upon the views then (or later) of their respective elctorates! Let me make that last comment a serious suggestion to her publicity machine. Peter S. PS: For the benefit of later posts which refer to the original penultimate paragraph PS has respectfully edited it.

Hello Peter.
Unless any of those people you mentioned attend Hayley's concert at Woburn Abbey, your post is off-topic.
Please stop making your political comments on this forum.
Many thanks,
Richard

In reply to your post #48 Richard I would observe that my post was in response to the interview she gave in advance publicity of the Woburn concert. My post was ON topic in that: - It was about the forthcoming Woburn concert.
- It was about her publicity machine and pointing out the danger of courting controversy, however inadvertently, and suggesting another way of expressing the accolade and keeping it neutral and uncontroversial--a principle of representation that applies to whomsoever in those positions either now or in the future.
- That you responded as you did highlights the appropriateness of my comment.
- It was in direct response to her own thinking.

Hi Peter,
I think you will find that the item (in reply #41) merely acknowledges that Hayley has sung for President Bush. To expand on that by saying that he and the British Prime Minister were "singularly controversial and at fluctuating levels of respect (or contempt) in the minds of their respective electorates" has no relevance to the event at Woburn and as such is severely off topic. More importantly, it is exactly the kind of remark which is likely to antagonise some people and therefore is neither necessary nor acceptable on this forum.

Hi everyone Still not sure if I can make this one. I looked on the site last night and it seems there are still some £45 tickets left, at least it would let me buy one. By the time Ive decided it may be too late for me Best regards Mark

Hi Mark, It's going to be an exceptional concert - I'm not sure Hayley & Vittorio will be reunited in the near future so it might be your unique chance to see them perform together!! All I say is 'go for it' Work can always be done later. By the way, there is a competition to win tickets on the following site : Win tickets to Woburn Live. Lots of love, Stephany

Over to Stephany to describe Hayley's leaving outfit! These red pumps are shortly to become world famous as they are featured on the inside of the West Side Story CD. (Where Hayley also wears an, as yet, unseen pink dress. Am I allowed to say that or is there an embargo on the un-released CD?I hope that we shall see this uniform at Woburn. Very west side and quite different to the celtic green that she has worn in the summer concerts to-date. So, one of the perks of the West Side Story project (apart from getting up close and personal with Vittorio)!

Am I allowed to say that or is there an embargo on the un-released CD? Hi Drew, The general rule concerning new releases is that we cannot publish any particular detail until one of two things happen: 1. I get specific clearance from Steve Abbott, or 2. It appears on the official site (but we have an unwritten agreement that we allow them the exclusive for a minimum of 24 hours). Roger

However, I do believe that the pumps slipped out into the public domain!

Hi all, A new article about Woburn Live was published by 'Bedford Today'. Hayley says she prefers to be known as 'Hayles'. Why not, it is also very lovely. Best wishes, Stephany

But that implies she will sing 'Summer Rain'. Since when was that in West Side Story? Hayles, thank you for not adding another 10 to that! The interview's name - Paul McNamara - sounds familiar. Have we come across him before? Roger
