# 298 Hi Graeme, during the day I've tried to figure out the lyrics used by Hayley for the two songs. When I read your post I can't resist... Here's my attempt: Rule BritanniaWhen Britain first at Heav'n's command Arose from out the azure main; Arose, arose from out the azure main; This was the charter, the charter of the land, And guardian angels sang this strain; |:Rule, Britannia! Britannia, rule the waves: Britons never never never shall be slaves. The nations not so blest as thee, Must in their turns to tyrants fall; While thou shalt flourish great and free, The dread and envy of them all. |:Chorus:| The Muses, still with freedom found, Shall to thy happy coast repair; Blest of the future! With matchless beauty crowned, (?) And manly hearts to guide the fair. |:Chorus:| (In the line with the question mark I'm not sure concerning the underlined words.) Pomp and Circumstances Land of Hope and Glory, Mother of the Free, How shall we extol thee, Who are born of thee? Wider still and wider Shall thy bounds be set; |: God, who made thee mighty, Make thee mightier yet. (Only the Chorus) Greetings to the antipodes Karsten Thanks Karsten....excellent work !!! Greetings from the Antipodes....graeme

Dear Dave, I am in awe of the quality of the Woburn Abbey Concert clip !!! Thank you so very much for organizing this clip for us to listen to !!I can't believe how well Hayley performed...she is just the most outstanding young singer and person...she gave her best and more !! I love the Duet with Paul Potts...just beautiful !! Hello Marianne and thanks, thanks everyone else too. I intend to do some additional things too with the Woburn recording, later in the week - so watch this space! Meanwhile, as you mentioned Paul Potts, I have received a request from Chris, Admin of www.paulpottsofficial.com (which appears to be an unofficial fan site) for a copy of what I have involving Paul at Woburn. Well I do have all of his involvement thanks to Classic FM and I've put it together for Chris to use if he wishes. Paul sang two songs and the finale - which also involves Hayley - so it's on topic! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Paul Potts at WoburnI hope you enjoy it Marianne... and Chris too if you read this post! Cheers, Dave PS: I have just realised there is an existing thread in "Other Music" for Paul Potts and it is here so I will post the "Paul at Woburn" link there too. Dave, I've just listened right thru......absolutely soul stirringly & tear duct stimulatingly magnificent.....and those words are not good enough. Thank You x 10^6......Graeme...Marianne's going to do her own post

Hi all, When I listen to this Woburn recording (thanks again Dave ), what strikes me is how richer Hayley's voice has grown. 'Somewhere' is particularly divine. I can't help but comparing it to the recording she did for the album 'Hayley Westenra' a few years back. Don't get me wrong, both versions are equally beautiful. But the difference is noticeable, I mean, she hits some notes more easily than she used to do. Hayley's voice has matured in a gorgeous way!! This will be very exciting for her next album. Stephany

I have just received an email from Steve Abbott who wished me to apologise to everyone who attended the Woburn event on Saturday. Their transport arrangements were such that they had to leave the event immediately the concert was concluded. Apparently, Hayley was back in London within one hour of coming off stage. Roger Thank you for the information Roger (Steve). It is good to know that Hayley is safely home. I hope that the red dress stayed dry and the flowers stayed wet. It is time then for a formal apology to Rob McIntosh (Producer from Musical Associates). We wanted to "shoot the messenger" when he came back after the performance saying that Hayley had already left.

Hi everyone Thanks firstly to your friend Louise for allowing you to post her fantastic photos of Hayley on our forum. Also, thanks Dave for the extra clip and well done for the thanks you received from Paul Potts forum members. Stephany, I agree fully with you about Hayley's voice sounding so much richer now. I noticed particularly when I saw her at Porthcawl a month or so ago as well as on the Woburn recording. Also, over this last weekend, I listened to Pure and some other songs from around that time and although still fantastic to listen to, the lightness in her voice was very noticable. I guess she has just grown up Best regards Mark
