Hi guys I am a newbie (just!) but noticed no-one had posted a review yet. I was at Hayley's concert on Friday. I don't have the full set list with me sadly but I can confirm that the show was brilliant. There were a number of guest performers covering both song and dance and Hayley also performed with the Tower New Zealand Youth Choir who were stunning (apparently a number of members of the choir are old friends of Hayley's). The show was excellent from the start of Pokarekare Ana through to the last encore. Sadly, I have no photos, recording is banned within the Pavillion at the Llangollen Eisteddfod and I wan't going to risk being ejected. I can say that Hayley looked stunning in a black dress in the first half then in a beautiful full-length emerald green dress for the second half (quite appropriately coloured for when she performed Danny Boy ) I am really looking forward to Woburn in only 21 days Thanks to Hayley again for being the sunshire on a grey and wet night

Hi Keith!
Welcome to the Forum and thank you for your review. Several of our 'old hands' were supposed to be at the concert, but we've heard nothing of them and presume they must have lost their way home!
As you didn't mention it, I guess you didn't get to meet Hayley after the concert which is a shame, but very glad you enjoyed it all the same. If you look at the concert threads (particularly, Chichester, Cardiff and Telford) you should see the dresses you refer to. The Emerald Green gown is my all time favourite!
Anyway, happy you've joined us Keith, you will find out lots of things about Hayley and her concerts, Albums, Books TV appearances etc. etc. and I look forward to your future posts and hopefully meeting you at a concert soon.
Have you booked to see Hayley at any other concerts this year?
Best wishes Grant

Hello Keith and a warm welcome to the forum from me too. Congratulations for being the first member to report from Llangollen. Hopefully, we will hear more from other members who were there.
Please look out for any of us at Woburn and, should you spot us (we are somewhat conspicuous!), please come and say hello.
Best wishes, Roger

Have just returned from Wales having spent a couple of days indulging myself in my other hobby of steam trains. I did take some notes at the concert and will post my review shortly.

Hi Kieth & welcome. As you've noticed, we were all desperate for Hayley news. And the news is good.Thank you very very much. The Llangollen TV site is excellent & I've already watched many of the clips including the Tower Choir. Have also been rather hoping that Hayley was televised & recorded. What's annoying is she most likely was....but whether we ever get to see the clip who knows? I bet you meant this dress didn't you? ......Graeme.....thanks Grant

Review Part 1
I travelled to Wales last Thursday and stayed at an hotel in Wrexham for 4 nights. Friday started out wet and the rain was to persist all day.I decided to go to the Eisteddfod early as at least it would be dry in the pavilion, and I spent several hours listening to the various choirs and hearing the adjudications. The Tower New Zealand Youth Chior who were later to perform with Hayley only came third in their category but received excellent applause from the audience. I left the pavilion during the afternoon to have a meal with some friends I had made during a trip to the USA earlier this year and when I returned the public had been cleared from the pavilion[it was still raining] and Hayley could be heard rehearsing over the loudspeakers. Summer Fly was obviously causing some concern as a considerable amount of time was spent getting it right.Rehearsal over we were then let inside and after awhile were told that owing to the bad weather many people had not arrived and the start of the concert was being delayed from 7.45 until 8.00
Part 2 to follow very shortly

Another question for Keith. Was this the other dress? Thanks to Dave for this pic. Folks, when I look at this wonderful picture of Hayley in that dress, all that comes to mind is to ask this beautiful, young lady to dance! Let's see......now where did I put that darn CD??? I deleted the photograph from the quote as it is a large file. You can see the dress in the previous post. Richard

I know that you will find it fun and very informative. Starting off with a review of one of Hayley's performances is about the best way that I know of to introduce yourself. Thank you very much for your post. Best of luck, Gene.

Thank you for your great reviews, Keith and Gordon. Hayley was certainly very pleased to meet up again with her friends from the NZ Choir. Not to mention performing with them!! Stephany
