Although this event was a long time ago, we have just received a delightful photograph taken after the performance (posted elsewhere but moved here). I believe it is the only coverage we had from that event. Many thanks to Graeme for locating it and to Robert for allowing us to use the picture. Hi All, I'm not sure where I should put this lovely pic. Larger file below farm1.static.flickr.com/251/459632604_1fc6edc7a5_o.jpg I found it in flickr where I also have an account. The little girls dad, Robert, kindly gave me permission to post this pic & also told me the Hayley Concerts he & his family had visited as follows: (part quote) "Hello. Yes it is ok for you to show the photograph. We have been to see Hayley 5 times. NEC, Symphony hall El Divo, Southwell Minster were the photo was taken, Sheffield city hall and St Georges church Telford. ........... Robert L. " The photo was taken 28th November 2005. I'm sorry but i know nothing about the Southwell Minster Concert Graeme

Just for the record, the Southwell Minster concert was part of the UK tour which also included Tewkesbury Abbey, Shrewsbury Abbey (twice), Banbury St Marys, Beverley Minster, Milton Keynes Stables, Sheffield Cathedral and the Lowry, Manchester. It was basically a promotional tour for Odyssey.

Would we be imposing too much to ask Robert L if he could manage some comments on the Southwell Minster concert?

Awww....beautiful picture Graeme, Roger, Robert, and Hayley! Thanks for posting and moving. It's been said many times before, but you never know what small thing done for someone else will do!! It's also been said that Hayley seems "in her element" with and around children. Sorry, guys...guess I'm admiring out loud here. (and thereby moving off-topic again). I'm sure it was a lovely concert. Many thanks for sharing this beautiful picture. Eric

Hello Graeme, Eric and everybody! There's no doubt Hayley is really in her element when surrounded by children, so I would love to know the story behind the charming photograph. I know the concert was a while ago, but I'm sure Robert will still have vivid memories! He might like to comment on the other Hayley shows he's attended too. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi all. I hope to do you all a report of the concerts we have attended next week. We are busy at the moment getting my brothers flat ready for him to have a weekend in to see if he able to live on his own after spending 15 months in hospitals and care homes after being knocked down by a car. We have given the care home a copy of Hayleys New Zealand concert to play to the other residents. We will not be able to get to Hayleys concert till later this year due to clashing with holidays and my wife having a operation. So unconsiderate of us I know. Robert

Thanks from me too Robert & Welcome,
Hope your brother's arrangement works out for him.
One thing thats passed thru my mind a couple of times is: What is your daughter's first name in that pic?
I loved your thoughtful present of the Live in NZ DVD to the patients at the care home.....that DVD is nothing short of magnificent !!!!

What is your daughter's first name in that pic? Graemek It's the same as it is everywhere else! Actually Robert, as you daughter is clearly a minor, we shouldn't be asking that. We would love to know of course, but if you prefer not to disclose it, we will understand. Roger

Hi to everybody. Sorry for the delay in replying. Life has been hettic. My brother is out of care but is not looking after himself and does not want to know us now. We are hoping he will be put back into care for his own safety. He has suffered extensive brain damage. Back to the Hayley concert. The evening was a sell out. It was the second time we had seen Hayley sing live the first at Birmingham symphony hall. Both concerts have there good points. B.O.H for the quality of the music and sound. The Southwell concert for the fans to be able to meet with Hayley afterwards. Both concerts you could have heard a pin drop when Hayley sang. We did manage to get to see Hayley at Telford in 2006 where our daughter gave Hayley a box of chocolates afterwards along with 2 other children who gave her flowers. we also managed the christmas concert at Sheffield city hall. We where not able to see Hayley in 2007. We are attending Buxton opera house in 2 weeks time. Our daughters name is Abigail she is realy looking forward to the concert and is counting down the days. She has been showing the photo of herself and Hayley to her teacher and friends on the computer at her school. Getting to meet Hayley makes her day. With her uncles accident and her mother being told she has Parkinson's disease she has not it good forthe last few years. Watching Hayley gives us all a night to forget about our problems. At Buxton we shall be on the second row from the stage so will have a good view. . Will send a report after. Robert

Dear Robert, your reply 13, I am very sorry to hear of your family's personal tragedies. Delighted to welcome you back again. With your history I assume you 'fell off' the system through lack of use and so it is a RE-welcome! Hope you have a super weekend(?) at Buxton and it will be nice to meet up with you and your family. We will make certain Abigail gets pushed to the front should Hayley be short of time but i guess she must now be aware there will be a large number of us so I would guess she has preplanned to find time... but she is not always mistress of her destiny. Are any of us?
Peter S.
