Hayley follows LOTS of artists, so you could say all of them are her favorites, too. I think she just admires or is interested in a lot of different artists. I'm not sure if she's said who her favorites were in a long time. One time a long time ago there was some sort of Q & A she did where she listed her favorites (I couldn't even tell you where it was from or where to find it now), but then I remember she listed the Corrs and Aretha Franklin; on the extras on her Live DVD, I remember she mentioned Celine Dion. Oh, wait, I think I know one, Joni Mitchell. Yes, I'm sure that's one of her top few. She has recorded 2 of her songs (Both Sides Now and River), and plus she's mentioned her often enough that I'd say she is a favorite. Also, she said Andrea Bocelli's album was the first she ever bought, and she always used to mention duetting/performing with him as one of the biggest highlights of her career. Other pop singers she's mentioned before are Beyonce, John Legend, and Rihanna. People's favorites sometimes change a bit with time, as mine have certainly (some have stayed the same, some have been added, and the order I place them in switches around all the time). I would think a music lover like Hayley would have lots of favorites. thanks Libby! It was a wonderful reply! I'm gonna know more about the artists you mentioned

I don't know if you knew it or not, but I think Shakira, Lana Del Rey, Katy Perry and Selena Gomez are Hayley's favorite singers. Because she follows them on her Instagram account Do you know any other favorite singers of her?

I guess that it would be great if Hayley sing “Between Two Worlds" from Disney's Pocahontas 2. The song is featured during credits of the film and it's originally performed by Judy Khun and Billy Zane. The high notes completely fit Hayley's voice.
And it'll be great if Hayley sing a version of “Don't Go Breaking My Heart”. Also “Karicfergus" and “Siúil A Rún" are great. Hayley is perfect in singing Irish songs.

My favorite tracks are La Califfa and Once Upon A Time In West.
Would anyone please tell me if the Amazing Grace bonus track in Japansee version is new recorded or not?

Hello, Sapphire Rain! It was nice reading about how you discovered Hayley. Some of your favorite songs are my favorites, as well, including Songbird and Never Saw Blue, plus a new favorite of mine, Quanta Qualia. It's so beautiful, and I love hearing her hit those really high notes so purely and effortlessly (or so it sounds). I like your forum name, too. It makes me think of Summer Rain. I'm imagining Hayley singing Summer Rain at a concert you attend, but saying You're my Sapphire Rain, just for your benefit. Where are you from? I'm guessing somewhere in Asia? Haha! I enjoyed reading your replay dear Libby. It's so perfect that each of you understand the beauty of Hayley's voice You know her voice is so pure and amazing! I wouldn't be able to express the beauty of her voice with words. You know it rises and it falls, it changes from a operatic soprano voice to a soft and gentle vocalize. I'm sure that you have noticed to that high-pitched soprano vocalize at the end of Qanta QItalia, I love that song and rest of her songs. If you notice to Nada Sou Sou, when she sings “if only you could 'FIND' me from where you are” I guess that's the highest zenith of her voice in her career. Or in her Mirai He when she sings “look down upon your feet” or in On The Wings Of Time or when she says "maaaaajesty" in Majesty or Jidai. I think her hidden angelic soprano voice can rise better while singing Maori or Japanese but her Englishs are great too! I have about 210 songs of her and I've never found a problem in her voice! and Also her lyrics are wonderful, too. Unlike the modern lyrics, it's not filled with useless words of loves and crushes, but it's filled with nature, purity, God, true love, mother, life and etc and I think that it's the music that we should be listening to. And it's fine for her to sing more pop-like songs (like You Are Water or Peace Shall Come) because she CAN perform them effortlessly. And you know I guess it's better for me to not hear her singing “YOU'RE MY SAPPHIRE RAIN" because I can easily die due to much excitement xD (I love summer rain) and I think Decca Records isn't a very active lable; it doesn't release singles, it doesn't promote her so much and etc. She really DESERVE a bigger popularity. Sometimes I wonder that her own self didn't want to get too much famous... Because she can do anything with her voice and beauty. Everyone WILL LOVE HER! I know a young man from US air force that The Water Is Wide is one of his favorite songs. One of my friends that is so obsessed with rock and tough music, deeply fell in love with Never Saw Blue. (because every single human loves purity and beauty) And is it alright if I don't talk about my location? But you guessed right, I'm from Asia. Soooo sorry for talking that much, but I had a lot to say. Best wishes grant.

Hello Sapphire Rain May I kindly ask, to avoid confusion, that you post under your Sapphire Rain account only, and not use your 5555555 account? Thanks very much, Joe Of course you can I created that part of my account by an accident, but I didn't know how to delete it. I won't use that again. I will only use "sapphire rain".

Hello guys! I definitely am a GREAT fan of angelic Hayley Westenra! I'm always thankful that I could ever get a chance to know her. The first time that I heard her performance was in Disney's Mulan 2. I wondered :“wow! How angelic!”. Afterward I watched a few videos of her in YouTube. I heard "Majesty", "Peace Shall Come", "Heaven". But as I heard "Mirai He" I instantly fell in love with her voice and I said :"well now I know who's music is deserve to be loved"...
Then I gathered her whole albums and song! I earned her international albums, regionals, compilation and rest of her duets and mp3s. I loved her songs a lot and I never could set a personal top 10 list! Because it's dead hard to decide. But I guess "I'm Kissing You", "Songbird", "Never Saw Blue", "The Water Is Wide", "Tsubomi", "Qanta Qualia", "On The Wings Of Time", "Nada Sou Sou" and etc are my favorites.
I'm very happy that Hayley is the fastest-selling classical début songstress and I'm proud that she has worked with Mastrio Ennio Moricone and Celtic Woman.
Your forum is wonderful!!! I used to check your conversations for months before I great an account. There are many hardworking and active members that talk about Hayley's career and news. This forum is here for about 12 years and I should add that you guys are so loyal about Hayley. I believe that nobody will born like Hayley, her voice is a treasure and we shouldn't let this gem to be forgotten.
PS: I think I won't be an active member in your fourm, because my English is so horrible (but I understand every single word that Hayley sings and she tought me so much) so I guess I wouldn't be a full time member. And unfortunatemy I'm so busy and I have a lot to do. But I try to show up!! XD
Best wishes grant!
