I know for most of you this time has passed, but there's still the chance for some to be aware of this! at 01:02.03 this afternoon it will be 01:02.03 04-05-06 (hour minute second month day year). Just a little fun! Luckily for the rest of the world outside North America (using dd/mm/yy date format), it'll happen a less than a month i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAllen

Just finished my last final exam today so if everything goes as planned, I'll have to remove my "student" title in couple of months But I'll also mention that a lot of older men and women are getting iPods and other mp3 players. I've noticed on the bus I ride to and from school that most of the adults have an iPod or mp3 player. I think it's to tune us teenagers out! I'm certainly guilty of doing that and I've been using noise isolation earbuds while commuting to school (and catch up on sleep) i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Probably won't be using it now since I'll be walking to work everyday. What a coincidence, I'm a student graduating in June too! I major in computing science and minor in business admin. After graduation, I'll be working for a company I worked for during my internship as a developer. Good luck Yong, never know if you'll be working with Hayley on her future albums Allen

Thanks Caite, these are some beautiful shots of the sunset from Michigan! Recently, I got a new Canon S2 IS as a gift, hopefully I'll be able to contribute more to the Photography thread in the future. Here's one of the few photos I took at the University on the day of my graduation earlier this month: Allen

Another, different use of stained glass. But not just stained glass, the window structure itself is different. Built within the last fifty years? I would be interested in learning a little more about the building, if you know anything, Allen, please. Peter Hi Peter, You can find more information about the church at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westminster_Abbey_%28British_Columbia%29It's about 60-75 minutes drive from Vancouver and is opened to the public for about 2 hours each day. The broken chain photo is very interesting, is it meant to be an optical illusion or it's part of a real construction site? Allen

Hi Caite, This is my first contribution to the Photography thread, a few photos I took last week. The first one is the "Eiffel Tower" replica outside Paris Las Vegas and the second one was from Caesars Palace. The third one was from near my house. I only got my first digital camera few months ago so I'm still in the experimentation stage. Allen

Hi Oksana, I recently purchased a Sandisk Sansa E140 (1GB, upgradable to 3GB) from Costco and it's small with decent 18hrs battery life (can always carry extra sets of AAA's). Since you want a 20GB model, guess it doesn't have enough storage space for you. Stay away from the Rio players. The product line is basically discontinued and the company no longer manufactures MP3 players. They did however offer the Rio Karma with 20-40GB HD... decent reviews from the owners, that is, until the HD dies after a few months. In terms of features and quality, you can take a look at the following players: iRiver H10: www.iriveramerica.com/prod/hd/iAudio X5 (or X5L): www.cowonamerica.com/products/iaudio/x5/You can also find 20GB players from Sony's "Network Walkman" or Dell's DJ but I'm not too familiar with them. Personally, I'm not a fan of HD-based MP3 players since moving parts = prone to problems in general and they tend to be on the bulky side. Just make sure you don't go jogging (too often) with it Having said that, if you want high capacity MP3 players, you don't have too many choices. My advice is to buy from a reputable store with good return policy so you can return it if you don't like how it functions. The management system on some players can really drive people crazy i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAllen

I've been listening to some classical music since I was little but I never become interested until I started listening to some Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli. Then I began watching a local art TV station called "Bravo" and the rest is history i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI've had another thought which will just about hold this thread on the subject of classical music. Now they have come up with Hayley ring-tones for mobile phones, somebody should invent Hayley whistles for kettles. "Lascia Ch'io Pianga" would make a nice tune in the kitchen! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAnd others will wonder why you never pick up your phone and the tea is never "ready" Allen

Very good point Steve, that's my believe about "classical" music too. I can't remember when's the first time I listened to classical music, I guess as a little kid, I liked everything that was pleasant enough to put me to sleep.. and at the time it was classical music "Oldies" have always been my favourite throughout my life, from 60s to 80s and early 90s. Technically, "classical" music is just very old oldies performed by modern people? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI've listened to Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman for a while and Hayley just sealed the deal with the classical-crossover for me. Strange enough, people always say I have an "interesting", in a slightly negative way, taste of music (for my age group?). Any of you ever experience that? Allen
