Hello Melisa You're absolutely right! I couldn't have put it better myself. I think it boils down to the fact that Hayley is so genuine and down to earth and she draws like minded people to her. I'm sure she does realise what she has in HWI by the fact that she often refers to us as "supporters" rather than fans and will often go out of her way to make our time with her extra special. As for the friendships, well, again I think it's the "Hayley" influence that irrespective of our particular location or circumstances, we may never meet but we all have one common denominator HAYLEY!!It just doesn't get any better than that Lots of Love Grant

Hi Melisa, I spent just over a week in Sydney back at the beginning of June I think it was having spent the first couple of weeks in Brisbane, you're right it certainly is a beautiful city, especially all the parks and areas around the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, definitely mean to go there again sometime before heading back home, for new year if not sooner. Hope you get a chance to visit the UK someday, if you haven't already been. David HI DAVID. Yes it is beautiful around the Opera House, did u visit the Botanical gardens, I havent been there for awhile but must go again someday, it is beautiful there around December and January with all the plants and flowers in full blossum, They have a tree there called the Wollemi Pine which was thought to be extinct since the dinosaurs dissappeared, last time i was there it was about 3 m high, its probably grown full size now so must go back there one day to check it out, its just walking around the area on your own is pleasant but would be lovely to see it with someone. New Year is a great time to visit Sydney, we have a fantastic fireworks display and I have a good friend that her and her husband own an apartment over looking the harbour, the view of the fireworks from there is amazing, their apartment is quite big so room to invite friends, but as I am unattached at the moment I will probably be going alone this year. No i havent been to the UK, Hopefully I will get there one day, from what I understand it sounds very pretty, I noticed a member has posted some photos of a quaint litle tea house in another thread, we dont really have many places like that here. Melisa. Hi Melisa, I did vist the Botanical Gardens, they were amazing then so I can imagine how beautiful they would be during spring and summer. I've seen the new year fireworks at the Harbour Bridge on TV before and they looked stunning so would be fantastic to see them for real! Hope you do get a chance to visit the UK one day, I'm from Edinburgh which has plenty of great places both in and nearby worth seeing. David

David Hi David. ohhh, ok, yes I should have guessed you would have I suppose, when all the flowers are blossuming its beautiful and the aroma of some of the blossums are just beautifull, and definately better to see the fireworks up close rather then on TV, I hope I do get a chance to visit the UK one day as well. Edinburgh is very famous and Ive heard its beautiful there, hope you enjoy your stay here in Oz. Melisa.

Hello Melisa! I forgot to mention, when you quote a post that already starts with a quote, your post will begin like this: If you don't want to include the earlier quote, you should delete the second quote tag and its contents. I've done it for you in a few posts to make them look nice and tidy. Best Wishes, Richard

Hello again Melisa! Don't miss Through the Keyhole. Hayley has bought a new flat since that was recorded, but it's still a highly entertaining video that gives a little insight into her lifestyle. Richard

Hi All. I really have to say this although ive no doubt its been said before somewhere in here, but this is a truly amazing fan club, to think that so many people from all around the world and from all walks of life with one common interest, can come together in one place, discuss their cultures, countries, hopes and desires and to make wonderfull friends and it appears have met one another on many occasions, in such a wonderfull environment and its really all due to one person, HAYLEY, I wonder does she realise just how significant that is, it must be a great honour and just reading through the threads, it would appear that her personality matches her voice. What a pleasure to be a member, thankyou each and everyone for welcoming me so lovingly and openly, The amount of energy and input into this fan site is staggering, the information available here is naturally all due to dedicated members whom it would appear would stand beside Hayley to the bitter end, I feel honoured to be apart of this community. Much love Melisa. Hi Melisa Thanks for your kind words about the forum. Speaking personally, there is no doubt that becoming a forum member has enriched my life. I was 46 when i discovered Hayley after she came to perform in my home town back in 2005. I instantly became a fan, which was a life time first for me, as up until that point, I cant say that I was a great fan of any other particular artists. During the last 4 years, I have not only got to know Hayley and she me but, I have also made many new friends here, as you say, from all around the world. I have been fortunate enough to have met quite a number of them and a few of those on a regular basis. Despite having a business to run and 3 children (2 are grown up now), I have still managed to support Hayley by going to 39 concerts. A large part of going to a Hayley concert for me now, is meeting up with HWI friends earlier in the day, sharing a meal and a few drinks etc. It has sort of all become part of the total 'Hayley experience'. You made a comment which I think I can answer yes to! Firstly, we know that Hayley does read the forum when she can, so I guess by now she has a fair idea what we all get up to. However, I recall one particular conversation with Hayley after a concert, when I mentioned to her that a few of us had been on a boat trip that afternoon and I was telling her that we often did such things before a concert. Hayley jokingly made a comment " oh well, you don't need me at all then". I quickly said "but Hayley, we do, because without you, we would never have even met each other". Of course, Hayley is well aware of that fact and I often wonder when she arrives at a venue to see a small crowd of familiar HWI faces there to welcome her, what she is thinking - I wonder if that fact ever crosses her mind. Anyway, I have rambled on and am way off topic I think but, it sometimes takes a new member such as yourself to make you realize that what we have here in HWI is very special. Hope to catch up with you at a Hayley concert one day Melisa. Best wishes Mark

Hi Mark, Melisa and everyone ...... I often wonder when she arrives at a venue to see a small crowd of familiar HWI faces there to welcome her, what she is thinking - I wonder if that fact ever crosses her mind. That's an interesting point which we have often wondered about and I'll remind everyone about Hayley's arrival at Bridgwater Hall in Manchester on a bitterly cold February afternoon this year. Despite the tinted windows in the minibus, Dean spotted Hayley and one of the Raven girls sharing a "High Five" as they approached. This led us to speculate that they may have tried to guess who would be waiting for them. In reality, it shouldn't be too hard to work out because, by looking at the relevant concert thread it's easy enough to see who has tickets and from that work out who can usually be found lurking at the venue. An interesting point about that particular instance was that having waited for over an hour we were frozen and, despite a heavy overcoat, I was shivering. The moment Hayley stepped out of the minibus with her beaming smile, not only did I stop feeling cold, I was possitively glowing! That's the effect Hayley has. Best wishes Grant

I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I do. Bill PS. At your current rate of posting you should catch up with Grant sometime early next year. Keep it up!!

Richard That was an entertaining watch! Thanks Richard! I wish the guitar in her flat was out of its case, so I could have a guess at what model and make it was! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I'm guessing that episode of 'Through The Keyhole' did alot for getting her noticed even more to the British public! I'm now waiting for the day/concert when/if she performs a song on the guitar, and I hope I will be there to witness it! Sorry for this being so off-topic! Cheers Ben

Hi Melisa,
Yes, it has certainly occurred to be that this forum means that Hayley has friends all over the world wherever she goes. But it also means the we members have friends all over the world too!
You might not know it, but earlier this year Hayley's "supporters" managed to get her voted into third place in an internet poll to find the world's greatest female solo artist. She was well ahead of some very big names. If you read the "Tweeter wall of fame" thread under "Miscellaneous" you will get some idea of the lengths people went to to achive that for Hayley. A wonderful testament to the dedication of Hayley's fans.
