WOW! Lovely video. Absolutely delightful. Thanks Maya and Dave for making it available. Perhaps the most understated job was the lady standing behind Hayley, translating the Japanese in real time for her. That's a real skill.
...so that should be easier to play. I can hardly see the difference in quality! I haven't uploaded it to Youtube as NHK TV fired off a copyright claim against us for one of their videos a few years ago, which nearly got the channel suspended! Not risking that again!
I just have sent the translations to Dave. He will be adding those to the video. You will be finding more what people are talking about Hayley and songs in and out of the studio too. I am sure you will laugh more understanding the contents.
My limited English skill is not enough to translate and my expressions are limited. So I asked Dave to help. This requires him some extra time in addition to the captioning. Please wait some more days to see the video.
I have finished updating your transcript and translation into more standard English (only needed in a few places) and I am half way through adding the subtitles. I will let you see it before posting, in case of any sub-titling errors.
There is one phrase used by the presenter that I didn't understand, but I have added it unchanged because the Japanese studio guests didn't understand it either (triple-seven etc.)!
Hi Dave and Maya, Thank you for your collaborative effort. The project has turned out very well. Shedding light on what was behind all the laughter on the video has greatly improved the enjoyment of watching it. Your efforts are much appreciated. BobS
