I saw Jonathan Antoine at the Royal British Legion's London Poppy Day event in Covent Garden yesterday. He followed Lucy Kay and sang four songs, 'La Donna E Mobile', 'Be My Love', 'Parla Più Piano' (from ‘The Godfather’) and 'Panis Angelicus'. He sang well and managed some banter with the audience, discreetly plugging his album. He posted this photo on his Facebook page:

I'm pleased you got to see him and Lucy, I would have loved to have gone but was at Blenheim palace for the day- that was lovely though-. I'm pleased he sang those songs, they are my favourites of his to be honest. I think he has an amazing voice for his age and sings them well, it's really nice of him to sing and help support the poppy appeal, and he seems to be a very nice, sincere person.
Comet, I don't think it was the label, or SC that split them up to be honest I know that's what he wanted to do when he first heard them but I think he was won over by the pair shall we say. I think they came to a mutual decision themselves that they both wanted different things from their careers, and there probably is a limit to how much they could do together, their voices go very well together but they are very different. That being said, he probably didn't stop them either.- I hate SC and how he dictates the music industry and makes things so much harder for most people who have talent as a result of shows such as X factor. He has helped some who are very talented, but the majority, imo don't have any talent for music at all.
I hope Jonathan's (and Lucy's) songs are played more on the radio- I think they both deserve more promotion than they are getting.
