I'm glad that it's a new recording, rather than the Pure one, like most of these albums use. I agree, it did sound a lot like her performance in ChCh last year. However, it seemed even slower than that, and still on the shaky side. Because of that, I almost thought the recording was taken from that performance somehow, but it was slower. I actually didn't care for it to be quite that slow, and her voice to have that much vibrado in it. That was fine at the memorial service, but this isn't for a memorial service, it's for something more festive. I doubt I'd be able to get Hayley's song by itself, and I don't really want the entire thing. I didn't hear Hayley in either of the Sing songs.

Hello folks! I received an email from Decca and found this album has its own website: www.jubileesing.com/It focuses mainly on the title track, so Hayley isn't mentioned in the Performers section. There is an interesting video about the Military Wives if you click on 'Sing' at the top of any page. Edit: I've found the email on Twitter so I'll share it: www.umusicemails.com/212/5922_220625.htmlRichard

Lol Libby that's what I mentioned in that my heart will go on thread, that she's using excessive vibrato, maybe that technically makes her sound professional.......Which for me kinda ruins for a lot of her old songs when she does them again (any my heart will go on) BUT this AMAZING grace was PERFECT for me XD, I LOVED IT, wow XD I forgot to comment about it, but I loved it, it was sooooo osm! My favourite version yet! And in the first sing song, when I was using earphones, I thought I heard hayley's voice or a very similar voice XD....you know with the way she's singing her poppier song these days it's not sooo distinct as how it used to be among celtic woman or other voices, where it's easily identifiable...but I really thought I heard XD...when they sing "Don't you" XD it sounded much like how hayley would say it XD....But if she didn't get a mention then maybe she didnt sing

Loved all the previews and as well as Hayley, a double dose of Laura Wright - perfect! I liked the slower tempo of Amazing Grace and, surely, it must be more difficult to sing than the normal tempo? One more copy sold Martin

Hi all, I'm very excited at how popular this recording has become and I look forward to purchasing it I found some good info on Gary's Wikipedia page... At the beginning of May 2010, it was announced that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II had asked Gary Barlow to organise her 85th birthday and her Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012. A source said: "Her Majesty has been made well aware of his charity work and the events he has put together. She knows that Gary has got the power to pull in the big names across the music industry and to ensure it's a party to match the occasion". This was confirmed on February 2012 with Gary Barlow being named as the lead organiser and producer of a concert that will take place outside of Buckingham Palace and featuring globally recognised superstar artists. Barlow said "The Diamond Jubilee concert will celebrate the 60 years of The Queen's reign with an amazing lineup of world-class artists coming together to play at one of the biggest and most exciting live music shows in recent years." [edit] In April 2012, Gary Barlow recorded a cover of Here Comes The Sun that was used in the 2012 summer promotion advertisement for Marks and Spencer with him appearing in the advert at the end performing the song. On GaryBarlow.com is a news article of Gary and Andew Lloyd Weber's formal presentation of their Diamond Jubilee song "Sing" at Windsor Castle. www.garybarlow.com/docs/latest_news/EFFyVFZykApJxvoHmp.shtml

Hello folks! The video I mentioned in my previous post has now been replaced by the official video for 'Sing'. Here's the direct link: www.jubileesing.com/singI recommend viewing it in full screen with the 720p HD setting. Richard

I think this might be Hayley's finest recording of Amazing Grace ever. The sample raised the hairs on my neck. I will certainly be buying it. Martin D

I wonder if it was planned that way. I haveoften felt that Hayley walking onto a stage feels like the sun coming out. And here we have Gary Barlow singing the Beatles "Here comes the Sun" immediately followed by Hayley's Amazing Grace. How wonderfully appropriate. Martin D

Like I said, Martin, I liked it this way during the memorial service just fine, for a sad and emotional performance like that. But, I just don't get what would be sad about the Queen's Jubilee. Another thing, her voice is lower, and I guess maybe I prefer her versions where she starts a little higher. I'm not saying I don't like it at all. The reason I wouldn't buy it is that I've heard her sing Amazing Grace numerous times, and I don't really need yet another recording of it, especially if I can't buy the track by itself. If I could, then I probably would get it. But I can't.

Cheers Richard. So pleased that Amazon US are offering the EP! Perhaps I'll opt for the mp3 download of all seven tracks.
I really enjoy what I've heard of the songs so far. 'God Save The Queen' with its African - flavored rhythm takes one back through history when many countries in Africa were achieving independence whilst remaining in the Commonwealth.

Really? That's a surprise to me! So maybe I will download it. The last time I downloaded something from them, I had problems with it, and did not end up with the mp3 anywhere in my computer, so I am a bit concerned about trying it again.

Hello Joe and Libby! You'll be able to download the complete album at Amazon.com HERE. You can also download individual tracks via the same link. I don't think this album will qualify for the classical charts, but it should do well in the main Albums Chart. Richard
