pcdn1.rimg.tw/photos/655795_wf6c9x9_l.jpgGreat news! Hayley's album "The Best of Pure Voice" tops 7th of the western pop chart of Taiwan this year (2010)! It's rare for a classical-crossover singer to be on the western pop chart!

Obviously, the Taiwanese have better taste. Undoubtedly! If more charts were like that, music tastes would be much better, and not the degradation we see in music decade after decade!

Hi! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI read on Wikipedia that selling 10,000 units for an international singer is a platinum record... so 18,000 is almost double platinum! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif From what I saw on the charts, sales of HSJS, HSJS2 and Pure etc were also strong this year, so Hayley must have sold a good number of CDs. Do you know how many her other CDs sold? To reach that high on the yearly charts is such a great achievement. Cheers, Jillian

Doesn't Wikipedia say? I know it says what numbers they were in the charts given. They were all #1 in NZ at some point, with the exception of River of Dreams and Christmas Magic, which it said came in at #13 and #20 in NZ! I certainly hope her upcoming album does better than that. I'll be shocked and horrified if it doesn't.
