Hey Alicia! The NZ special edition of Treasure is only one CD, and they charge by disc. So the shipping for two separate CDs would be the same as the shipping for a single 2-CD set. Also, her English "Ave Maria" is only included on the special NZ edition of Odyssey, so that would be one to consider, though RoD is AMAZING too. It's actually one of the very few Hayley CDs I have! Hope that helps. -Best from Bama

There is something shown for the 17th now, but it says in the "Elgar Room". So, does that mean it wouldn't interfere with the CBA?

Hello Libby! I'm beginning to wonder if the Classic BRIT Awards will be later this year, perhaps in June to tie in with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. I'm watching the Royal Albert Hall's website closely. Richard

Are they just not having the awards this year, or something? I had a look through the other months on the RAH's calendar. I noticed that some things that are held in the "Elgar Room" take place the same day as something else that isn't in the Elgar Room. So, could it be that the awards will be on the 17th after all, and they just haven't listed it yet? Also, what time of day is it normally held? The event that's being held there on the 17th is at 8pm. Richard, I know you've been there before, we have you on video! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif And in the pictures of Hayley's last attendance, it was still light out. Would it be over by 8pm, or would the CBA even interfere with the other event?

Okay, are the Classic Brit awards not happening, or what? I keep doing searches, checking that website Richard suggested, and I'm finding absolutely nothing. All I see is the awards from last year, or just Brit awards. Shouldn't the voting have started by now? Doesn't anybody know? I'm starting to get worried! Just when Hayley might actually have a chance to win, and they cancel it? If it's not canceled, why is there no information about it anywhere?

You are not the only one who is wondering about that, Libby. Laura Wright has it listed on her website for 2nd October, but I haven't seen any confirmation from anywhere else. www.laura-wright.co.uk/#events

Hello Libby and John! I'm also keeping an eye on Classic FM's website and Facebook page, but I've seen nothing so far. If the Classic BRIT Awards have been put back to October there's still plenty of time. Richard

Hi everyone! I've noticed a few interesting facts regarding some writers of songs that Hayley has sung! Some of you may have already found out about it all... Otherwise, it may be of interest for the others The writer of the very famous 'My Heart Belongs To You' is Canadian, his name is Aldo Nova (credited as Aldo Caporuscio on Hayley's albums, his real name) and I recognized his name because he's worked several time for Céline Dion who he composed songs for - most of them are French, but his most recent song for her was 'A New Day Has Come' that you may have heard of... The lyricist of 'Listen to the Wind' is Glen Ballard and he is very famous too. He notably wrote the song 'Man in the Mirror' for Michael Jackson...! Finally, Achinoam Nini, the writer of the beautiful 'Ave Maria' which appears on Odyssey - Special NZ Edition is also known under the name of Noa and I recognized her name too because she sang in the musical Notre Dame de Paris (the CD and French version of it, released in 1998)! I didn't really like her voice then but when I discovered the 'Ave Maria' on Hayley's album, I was surprised to find out she was the writer of the it I really love Hayley's version but I couldn't advise you more to check out Noa's version if you haven't already because it is really beautiful and moving, all the more given the lyrics of the songs and the fact that she's from Israel... That's all for now - if I find more "fun facts" like that, I'll post them Lots of love, Juliette xx

Hello again folks! I've now realised that the world press will be heavily tied up with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee events in May and June followed by the London Olympic and Paralympic Games from July to September. It would make very good sense to delay a major media event like the Classic BRIT Awards until October, at least for this year. Everybody will be looking for new interests in the autumn too. Richard

As a huge Celine fan, I am very familiar of Aldo Nova! And I like the songs he has given Celine over the years. May be why I like the songs that Hayley sings with her beautiful voice. It requires both a wonderful voice and a gorgeously written song (music & lyrics)to make a masterpiece, which I think Celine and Hayley have several of. Libby & Bamafan: A belated thank you for answering my question. I just ordered earlier this week. All three Cd's that were mentioned. Can't wait!! Alicia

Thanks, Richard. Your theory about the Jubilee festivities is probably right.
Right after I posted, I sent an e-mail to the RAH staff. Here's what they said:
At the moment we have no confirmed date for the Classic Brits, we are advising customers to keep checking our website which has the latest up to date information.
If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thanks for all the tidbits on Hayley's songs, Juliette. Glen Ballard has also worked with Josh Groban. He wrote they lyrics to the song he did for the movie Troy, called Remember. I also remember seeing a video of Josh and Glen working together, except they were juggling, instead of working. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAlso, I remember that one of the writers for Hayley's song Heaven also wrote a song on Josh's album Closer, but I can't remember which one at the moment... I want to say it was Al' Improviso, although I'm probably spelling it wrong.

I've always wondered why they never sang anything together. Well, at least she sang with the Canadian Tenors, and I find their sound much more pleasant.
