Thanks once again for the excellent coverage of this show. Glad you all had a good time and I am looking forward more than ever to Birmingham on Sunday.
Been out of the loop for a while, exiled to Bristol with no internet access. And a very torrid time I had too, which resulted in a very strong email to my boss and to his boss the MD, but that is another story I won't bore you with.
I was thinking of you all (and Hayley) Tuesday night without realising why. I sensed a special excitement and it was only after I got home today that I realised why - that this show had taken place. We really are privileged to have an artist like Hayley in the world, and those who can get to see her perform are doubly blessed. If you ever get the chance to see Hayley take it - you will not regret it - and it could change your life.
Well she sometimes performs with a full orchestra. But never mind, she doesn't need it. If Hayley appeared on stage on her own, and did a whole concert a capella, and even better unmiked, I would be blown away I'm sure.
Much as I love Raven and her other backing musicians, who are always of the highest quality, it is Hayley we all want to hear. And the less distraction (and distortion of that fabulous voice) the better.
