I Talk to the Trees is one of my favorite Broadway songs! I believe it's from Paint Your Wagon.

Yes, I well remember them. I have had those tracks one one of my home made Hayley CDs since they were broadcast. They are brilliantly done and unique. Martin D

I've been listening to Larry Goldings' 'In My Room' album. For those unfamiliar with his work and like mellow jazz piano you might want to check him out. Does anyone on the Forum know if Tim Evans has considered recording an album? I really enjoyed hearing him play in Madison (and I told him so).

Gone back to Suzanne Vega, great to listen to a woman's work in chronological order since her first appearance in the charts.

Three Graces is currently in my cd player in the car. Has anyone else listened to their music before? I haven't, but your post has prompted me to seek them out! This song is lovely... ----- For me, I've been hooked on Daves Highway for the last month! The three Daves siblings from Mississippi (aged 21 to 18) have been singing publicly for about the last seven years and are known mostly for Christian and country songs. However they have sung and performed in all music genres, with a brief foray into classical crossover. They have released three CD's; the latter being an acoustic Christmas album. I really enjoy Daves Highway's version of 'Edelweiss' ...

I had a fragment of a song in my head for the last two weeks, a couple of notes and the words "can't keep the ghosts away"
I googled it to no avail, I went to bed at night trying to get the words before or after the bit I could remember, that usually works because the brain continues to work on the search. It was driving me bonkers, that plaintive voice and just the five words "can't keep the ghosts away"..

I am listening to Yulia's latest self funded album Encore. It has some of her old songs like Russia and The Prayer plus some Russian folk songs and some Jazz like songs she wrote herself. She recorded it live with an audience ( inxluding me ). She manages herself now days. S he still has that lovely Russian accent in her voice which is still as powerful as when she first started. There are only 150 CDs produced and can be ordered on her website at www.yulia.co.nzSent from my SM-G900I using proboards

I've been listening to a lot of Sam Smith lately. I really like his emotional way of singing. The most well-known songs, of course, like Latch, Lay Me Down, and Stay With Me (don't get what the big deal about that song is, it doesn't even sound like the one it supposedly copy-cats). I also really like this one, Nirvana. I ordered the 2-disc version of In the Lonely Hour, called the Drowning Shadows version, from Amazon. It has bonus tracks, including this song, Drowning Shadows, and some live versions of popular songs. It was pretty cheap for 2 CDs. I used to make a point of buying from B & N to make sure they don't close like Borders' did years ago, but... the same album was $8 more from them! So, had to go with Amazon. If it had been a small difference, I would have given B & N a shot, since I had a coupon available to use, but I wouldn't have saved nearly as much as I did by ordering from Amazon.
