I'm pretty sure Libby knew what metaphor meant and was only asking how it exactly you related it as a metaphor XD...

How would that be a metaphor, exactly? Hi Libby, I gather you are directing your question to me A metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable or out of reach. For example, NASA may have said in the 1960's "Today we sent a man to the Moon, tomorrow we will send a man to Mars." NASA may eventually do this many years after making that statement. So when Hayley mentioned "...today 10 Downing Street, tomorrow the Kremlin", Hayley may perform at the Kremlin at some point in the future. Certainly it is possible. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif ~ Joe Okay, well the dictionary doesn't give any examples like that, so I was just wondering. I would consider it a joke, not a metaphor, but whatever.

My goodness, Hayley's musical tastes are much wider than I thought! Repetitive but quite addictive. Martin

It is a little while since Hayley tweeted, and I'm starting to get concerned. We expect perhaps a 24 hour silence when she flies to "down under", although she has sometimes tweeted from an intermediate stop. But we know that flights down there are seriously disrupted by volcanic ash from an eruption in Chile.
She is due to appear on Australian TV on Sunday, and she must be on her way by now, to give her a decent shot at getting over the jetlag. I worry that she is stuck somewhere. These 24 hour flights are exhausting enough (I know from experience), without having them lengthened because of problems like that. And I'm sure her emotional state will have taken a big knock because of recent events in Christchurch.
Let's hope I am wrong.

Hello everyone Hayley also responded to a few replies to her first tweet That one was in reply to Martin's request that Hayley lets us know when she arrives in OZ in reply to will you get to New Zealand. For reasons I can't go into, I'm fairly sure I know what flight she's on Best wishes Grant
