Latest tweet from Hayley 10 minutes ago Best wishes Grant I would have imagined that Hushabye is all wrapped up now - it would be too late to add new tracks at this stage. I also would have thought that Hayley would have been given a copy of the finished Hushabye, so she couldn't be hearing new mixes at this late stage. So this must be a new song that's been written? This had better be worth it. |

Martin D If Hayley's set herself up a home studio, she must be working on some songs or music independently herself. This may be an interesting development in Hayley's career. don't forget, successful albums that have been recorded on a Walkman. I doubt it is just a toy and would think Hayley has had good advice from a "Sound" engineer. Decent microphones will probably cost more than the recording device itself. Soundproofing a space might be a problem Mattresses on windows and walls and egg boxes are not a good look in ones living space  Record label Recording Studio time is expensive, It usually has to be arranged and booked in advance. It also has ears that can leak information about new ideas or concepts for albums. Having a home studio means if an idea comes to mind in the wee small hours of the morning (Which they often do, it's the idea that keeps you awake  : ) It can be worked on immediately, You don't have to concern yourself with other people's opinions. It can remain private, no loose talk, ideas can be worked on over any length of time. A stock of material and ideas can be built up and kept in reserve. A day may come !. Some time ago Nicola did mention that she thought Hayley might go independent from main stream labels. Maybe, just maybe and this is PURE speculation, I don't have a clue where Hayley stands with her recording contract. How many albums are due ? etc. ..................................................................... ...................................................................... ................................................................... I have backspaced several lines try reading between them.. |
