A definite plus. Well, even if it is just a demo... the fact that there seems to be a chance that it will be "it" is also very encouraging. She did say, let's see. So, if she determines it's good enough to be more than just a demo, then... I think things are looking pretty good.

I have no doubt whatsoever her new music will be worth the wait. It has been a rather long wait though. Lol.

LOL and I certainly wasn't the only one to plead her for music or the album; she could have replied to any of us, or none of us, as usual. So anyway, I don't feel too bad about making her feel pressure. Especially since we're now going on 5 years since Hushabye, which can't really be considered a proper album. Could she actually not realize how badly we want an album after all this time? That would be a bit alarming if she didn't realize this, but I think she does.

Hayley posted 2 stories about 20 minutes ago (well, by the time I finished this post due to pausing to give Toby his medicine, it was much more than that)! I recently discovered that the link to her story page just defaults to your home/timeline. So basically if you want to see it, you have to be on instagram and be following her, and be on at exactly the right time. The first one says "my new fav studio #losangeles" In this photo, you can see an open indoor area that leads to some stairs going down, with a window with bright light shining through a window at the back of the scene. There are houseplants around the stairway, there is a chandelier with red glass shades on each light, and past the stair railing/banister, I see something that appears to be the silhouette of a dog! It looks real, but against the light coming from the window, it's hard to tell for sure. And of course, the thing speeds along too fast to have time to absorb anything! The next story says nothing, but this time we see the base of what I think is a microphone stand, or perhaps just a music stand. There is other equipment visible, wires and such, perhaps the base of a chair, but because of the lack of light, and again the swift nature of the story, it was hard to make it out. Anyway, the stuff on the floor isn't going to tell us anything. LOL But I'm very happy that she's posted quite a few studio photos/stories lately. Now, to figure out what LA studio this is!

Aha!! I am quite positive I have found the recording studio! I just did a google search on "los angeles recording studios". Among the top 5 was the Village Recorder (or Village Studios, villagestudios.com). I did not find any images on the studio website that told me this was Hayley's "new fav studio". Neither was anything extremely convincing upon a Google images search. However... this is a little hard for me to explain... But you know, when you search for restaurants or hotels on google, instead of just regular search results to the hotel's (etc.) website, Google comes up with what is essentially a Google profile for popular places in the category of your search; in this case, recording studios. So, when you click on Google's profile link for the place you're interested in looking at, it will switch you to where it shows a map, address & phone number, business hours, ratings, reviews, etc. It will also show images and sometimes a "see outside" option, which has a rotating icon, so you can spin the image around to see everything in the close vicinity. So, anyway... amongst those images found in the Village Recorder's google profile, I found the dog! Which is not a real dog, after all! And there must be another similar stairway with more records on the walls. Hayley's image shows a window with the dog; the second image I posted below shows an open stained glass door seen from outside, but with similar framed records on the wall. Also, the overhanging lamp which is by the door is different than the one in Hayley's shot. But the plants are similar too. I see that the dog photo I found was taken Sep. 2016, while the door photo was taken very recently, Jan. 2018. Okay, you cannot click on these links. Well, you can click on the blue part, but it'll say Error. Instead, please highlight and copy the entire address, including the unclickable part, then paste it into your browser. Voila! There's the dog and the stained glass window! www.google.com/maps/uv?hl=en&pb=!1s0x80c2bb7027496e2b%3A0xf2533df01e589e10!2m22!2m2!1i80!2i80!3m1!2i20!16m16!1b1!2m2!1m1!1e1!2m2!1m1!1e3!2m2!1m1!1e5!2m2!1m1!1e4!2m2!1m1!1e6!3m1!7e115!4shttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.soundonsound.com%2Fmusic-business%2Fstudio-file-village-recorders-los-angeles!5sGoogle%20Search&imagekey=!1e10!2sAF1QipMKa5J5MZInhdPj5FW5Q3I5q8fIJP83iIglShpD www.google.com/maps/uv?hl=en&pb=!1s0x80c2bb7027496e2b%3A0xf2533df01e589e10!2m22!2m2!1i80!2i80!3m1!2i20!16m16!1b1!2m2!1m1!1e1!2m2!1m1!1e3!2m2!1m1!1e5!2m2!1m1!1e4!2m2!1m1!1e6!3m1!7e115!4shttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.soundonsound.com%2Fmusic-business%2Fstudio-file-village-recorders-los-angeles!5sGoogle%20Search&imagekey=!1e10!2sAF1QipMGzXvoGXOgYk48104hzE8HUkBs4iQxGeKqDlnB Unfortunately I cannot post the actual photos. Nothing happens when you right-click on them. If someone could take a screen capture, or whatever it is you do, that would be awesome. That way we can post them together for proper comparison.

On the studio's website, you can't find any images containing those white tiles in Hayley's 2nd image, but the rug is very similar to this one (there are many other similarly-patterned rugs throughout). None of the images show anything that appears to be a singer's enclosed studio, so perhaps that is where Hayley was, and the website just doesn't show any images of one. The only recording microphones shown appeared to be for band set-ups. Or, either that or the studio has had some renovations since the photos were taken. If nothing else, the dog/stained glass window photo from above is all the proof we need.

Hi Libby! Here are the two screen captures taken from your links above... Here is The Village Studio's Wikipedia page... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Village_(studio). When I post Hayley's new pics and Libby's supercool research I won't mention the name of the studio...that info is for forum lookers only!
