Hey Paul, although tickets can be non-refundable, you would still have the credit with the airline for a year. New Zealand is a beautiful country and all the people I met there are friendly and fun!....TimJ

Yours too easily befuddled these days! Peter S. Hi Peter I am told they are known as "senior" moments. Don't worry, we all get them! In fact, mine started at the age of 30. (Actually, I think I'm having one right now cause I'm way off thread!). Martin

I think it is just as well it's been postponed. It will give her more chance to rest her voice in between tours. Also, she has mentioned before that she's planning to start recording the next album in May, so this will give her more time for that. And now, maybe she can go to the Classical Brits. Who knows, she might win! It would be sad if she wasn't there for that!

Hi! I'm sorry that Hayley's tour is postponed. That comes very close after the postponement of the ROD tour and might not be good for Hayley's reputation. We all know that it's not Hayley's fault and I hope people who don't know her as "good" as we do think the same way. I also hope nobody has to bother too much because of the postponement. Thomas

Sorry to hear that Hayley's long awaited NZ Tour has been postponed for a while. Hopefully, Hayley & Jonathan will now be able to attend the Classical Brits at least ,and how about them maybe having some time now to work on that duets album that we've all been hoping for

She has not had a new internationally released album in over 2 years, so I think it's better to focus on that for now, not more secondary albums.

I've just come across this very interesting article from the Manawatu Standard in New Zealand. I can't provide the link to the article because it isn't on the general net (at least I can't find it).
I thought that people might find this interesting, considering the issues with the promoter causing delays in the tour.

what planet is the writer on??? 71$ for a concert isnt expensive, with some acts [the rolling stones, eg] retailing their tickets for almost 200. a concert isnt a public service, the promoter still has to break even and that should depend on the cost of bringing the talent here.

I agree Spiderman, if I decide to go to the Il Divo concert in Christchurch in October the cheapest ticket is $119.

Do you think that the risk factor that was mentioned in the article had anything to do with the change in promoter? Perhaps the promoter just decided at the last moment that the financial risk was too high and pulled out? But surely they would have evaluated that before they took on the position?
I was also suprised by the estimate of cost of putting on a show. I know absolutely nothing about concerts etc, but 65 thousand dollars seems like a lot for a show in a 1000 seat theatre. But I suppose there's rent costs, insurance, transport etc.
