Hi Everyone, Mine arrived as well. They give the option of a cheque refund or credit added back to a credit card, .for which they need the number and other info posted to them. Is this a safe option ? A credit card number going astray in the post does not seem a good idea. Anyone have any thoughts ? Best Wishes, Graham Hi Graham The cc number alone is not much use to anyone these days without the security number so it is safe to post. If, but unlikely, the card number was used fraudulently then your credit card company would cover any loss as you would not have given out the security number and are therefore not liable. Best wishes Martin

Thanks Martin, that is very reassuring. I'm going to ask for a cheque... Richard, I don't know if this is applies to you but the letter states that, if we purchased tickets by cheque, we can still request a credit card refund - but not the other way around. There is little point in withholding my email address as they've had it for years! Roger

Well, I've bitten the bullet and sent them my card number. Do you think they will refund the ice cream vouchers too?

Hello everyone
Just a thought, but it might be an idea to keep a note of your Booking Ref when returning tickets, as this is only shown on the actual admission ticket and in very small numerals. It may be necessary to quote this to the Barbican in the unlikely event of the returned ticket getting lost.
Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant,
It is also in the email they sent me to confirm my booking, so if you did it on line, you will have the number anyway (assuming you didn't delete the email).

Yes I always like to visit the box office in person if I can. I don't like giving my card number over the phone since the person at the other end could make a note of it and use it fraudulently. Unlikely yes, but not impossible, especially these days when everyone is short of money !

With the flights and accommodation booked since June and not refundable there was no question to fly to London. December 19th began with a blue sky and mild temperatures of 10 degrees Celsius; it remained dry the whole day. With Moorgate just on my way with the Northern line from London Bridge to St. Pancras I decided to go to the Barbican to request the refund personally. The lady behind the desk was very friendly and after one minute the problem was solved. Of course, it was a bit disappointing only to claim a refund on this date and at this place – unfortunately even the Sterling seems to be weaker these days. Hopefully there’ll be another chance for a Christmas concert in 2009. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all HWI members (including Hayley, of course) and their families, Karsten
