To donate to either of Hayley's current UNICEF projects, please click one of the following links: Hayley's Bikes for Ghana"So far, the funds raised by UNICEF NZ have been used to buy 5,800 bicycles for girls who have to travel long distances to get to school, and 60 tricyles for children with special needs. As a result, school enrolment is up, academic performance has improved and drop out rates have reduced." Hayley's Playground Pumps for Ghana "Just $35 per child will enable us to install Playground Pumps in 30 schools in Ghana, providing clean water for 6,000 children, and contributing to the eradication of Guinea Worm." Thank you, Roger Edit: The links in this post no longer work. Please see Grant's reply #2 for the correct links. Richard

Hello everyone In readiness for my Christmas donation to UNICEF, I followed the links in Roger's post above. None of them now work, in fact there seems to have been some significant changes is the way the UNICEF web site is displayed and some information will not display at all. The following links will take you to "Hayley's Projects" pages. Best wishes Grant

Hello everyone Have just been on UNICEF New Zealand web site and have discovered that Hayley's Ghana project is now fully funded Whilst this is great news, there doesn't now appear to be a specific Hayley project for us to donate to I have asked Hayley if there is/will be a project that she is supporting and would like us to donate to and will keep you advised. Best wishes Grant

Thanks Jillian. I had forgotten about that - too much to take in during the tour LOL. Can you remember a specific interview where it was mentioned? Best wishes Grant

Supposedly she is already involved in a second one, was that not to do with water? Peter S.

Cheers, Jillian Oh! OK Jillian, I misunderstood - thanks for clarifying The East Africa Appeal does seem like the most needy at the moment. Hopefully I'll get some clarification from Hayley sometime during the next few days. Best wishes Grant

A couple of times since her last trip, she mentioned them wanting her to help out in Laos, too. She first mentioned it (I think) in 2008, and didn't mention it again for a long time, but I seem to remember her mentioning it again sometime this year. I couldn't tell you where I might have heard it though. It was probably a radio interview.
But the East Africa one might very well be what she means this time.
