As a venue the community centre at Milford on Sea is very smart considering it is run by volunteers and relatively new (opened in 2010). Milford itself is a bit of a "one horse town" as the American writer O.Henry would say but the Norman church is worth a visit, and offers shelter from the rain ! Seats for the show were unreserved so concert-goers were somewhat surprised to find a note had been put on a front-row seat saying "Reserved for Jeff" in Kristyn's handwriting ! Twitter followers are so useful !
The Irish dancers were an unexpected delight and performed right in front of me so close in fact I thought one of the young ladies might end up in my lap which would of course have been most agreeable unfortunate !
I won't go into details about the songs so as not to spoil things for John tonight (phew, that saves me a long review !) but suffice to say it was the best ten pounds I've ever spent, an opinion I conveyed to the performers afterwards as they signed my albums.
By the way John, there was a barefoot soprano on stage but it wasn't Kristyn !
Left to right: Melody, Titania, Kristyn, Fantasia, Harvey.
