Hi everyone I am so pleased that you all had such a good time yesterday. Thanks Stuart for the wonderful photo's - nice to have natural light for a change Caite, thanks for your very discriptive report on the music played. You certainly didnt confuse me, your words, particularly your analogy, made the whole thing come alive - almost as if I was there with you - and oh, I how wish I had been What a lovely photo of you both too. Having seen Fiona perform just a week or so ago at Telford, solo as well as back-up for Hayley, I was so impressed. We also got to spend some time with her after the show. So Fiona from me too and I think I might see you again tomorrow at Portcawl Mark

Hello everybody! I had a great time at Liverpool Street last night. It was lovely meeting Caite for the first time, and Grant, Gordon, Roger and Stuart for the umpteenth! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCaite has already given an excellent report, so I'm just going to add a few brief comments. I'm not a great lover of jazz in general, but I thoroughly enjoyed Fiona's playing and her stage presence. The band was called Rythme Futur, and Fiona was standing in for their regular violinist, which made her performance all the more amazing. I didn't know many of the tunes, but there were a few familiar pieces. The concert began with 'Limehouse Blues', and the other tunes I recognised were 'I've Found A New Baby', 'Blue Skies', 'Autumn Leaves' and the final number 'Dark Eyes', which was rather slower than Fiona's own arrangement. I didn't catch the names of the other musicians either, but Fiona was definitely the shining star last night! Best Wishes, Richard

Thanks very much Caite for your excellent report of the concert and especially for the description of the music. I don;t think any of us are jazz enthusiasts so we might have struggeled to say very much. Your coverage solved our problem and captured the spitir of the occasion perfectly.
Thanks to Stuart for the photographs. I will wait a while in case there are more to come but I have promised to send a few through to Fiona!
Roger

No confusion Caite. A very lucid, colourful, diverse but easy-flowing description of the event. Very well done. Peter S.

Hi Caite!! Thanks for your report and pictures. I had a feeling that you had 'snapped' us whilst we were 'snapping' Fiona, but beware, what goes around comes around! Thought your analogy of the music was spot on too. Also enjoyed meeting up with you again. Suppose I better get round to downloading my pictures now! Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant I'm no good at captions - but could it be that Roger has just cracked one of his jokes, which Caite finds mildly amusing and Richard either isn't listening, or he just doesn't think its funny i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAnyone else ? Regards Mark

Grant"Without warning Roger bursts into song during one of Fiona's tunes. Caite is on the point of crying and Richard prays 'Beam me up Scottie!'! Martin

Great photographs Grant! Well, most of them! Rythme Futur have a website: www.rythmefutur.co.uk/I can now confirm that the bass player was George Trebar, and I believe the guitarist on the left was Barrington Meyer. I can't identify the other guitarist, but he was the one who broke two strings! Best Wishes Richard
