Hello Martin and Northern Lights! I think it's safe to assume that Hayley's next album won't be called 'Angel'. Think about it... Richard

Well, perhaps to emphasise that Hayley is nothing like Dido, who had an album called "No Angel"

OMG I love Yes! I have Yessongs. So maybe Hayley should release an album called Hayleysongs: Inspired By Yes I doubt that Yes is one of Hayley's musical influences. She has probably never heard of them! Oh, I forgot the album "Yesterdays", a compilation. It is strange that some people who share my taste in rock bands cannot understand my enthusiasm for Hayley. But I think the answer is I love musical excellence, wherever it is found. I won't be bound by artificial boundaries between different so-called "genres". Martin Martin

Hello everybody! If Hayley's next album is another mix of different musical genres, my suggestion for a title is 'Potpourri'. Richard

If Hayley's next album is another mix of different musical genres, my suggestion for a title is 'Potpourri'. Not sure I'm in the right thread to ask this but...was it Hayley's idea to call her albums 'Pure', 'Odyssey' and 'Treasure'? Or did she get some help from her management company (like in a brainstorming session)? It will be interesting to see what is the title of her 4th album Stephany

Or did she get some help from her management company (like in a brainstorming session)? Hi Stephany I'm sure Roger could asnswer your question but I do know that there was much "heated" discussion between Decca and Bedlam over the title of the third album. In fact I recall Hayley saying that she was amused by it all and left to them to agree upon the title. Best wishes Martin

Hi everyone. I am cross-referring to a post by Stephany in the Elizabeth Marvelly thread HERE and to which I posted a response in that thread HERE. From what I recollect (and I apologise if I have followed too cavalierly and missed posts on this subject) this thread and in all advice we offer Hayley in this matter seems a mix of song titles because we like them or think they are appropriate to her. Have we really given thought to the promo side in the sense of widening her audience appeal? I think Stephany's post quoted above (I hope if I've made it technically correct) Elizabeth's CD seems to have wide geographical and cultural appeal. One can of course counter-argue that Hayley/Decca do recognise this by producing several editions geared to specific areas but is that necessarily the only way, let alone the right way? I liked the inclusion of Wiegenleid on one CD and I accept the current situation precludes further German song development but what about a couple of French songs? This covers Europe AND French Canada as well as possibly some parts of Africa, although past French colonisation has not sat as well with the natives as the British equivalent. I think I suggested earlier Francois Hardy songs, but that was for the song not with the thought of audience expansion/diversity. Were she to look to France, I think she should look at Piaf. To my knowledge Piaf is so unique no one has dared to take her songs but those from France may be in a positon to contradict me, at least locally. Peter S,

Elizabeth has covered Edith's song 'La vie en rose' on her debut album and I thought it was really good. Very brave too because as you mentioned it's not easy to take a song of Mrs Piaf. There are other masterpieces like 'Je ne regrette rien' and 'L'hymne **SPAM? PLEASE REPORT l'amour' that Hayley could try though. Stephany

[I recall Hayley saying that she was amused by it all and left to them to agree upon the title. Hi Martin Hayley said something similar to us at Christmas Presence in Sheffield in December 2006. However, I got the impression from the way Hayley spoke about it and the frequent giggles, that yes, she had left it to them to agree upon a title, but from those that she had already chosen! Best wishes Grant

There are other masterpieces like 'Je ne regrette rien' Hi Stephany Now to hear Hayley sing that would be something else - WOW!! Love Grant I am so delighted at this response as I thought I might be out on a limb in my suggestions. Let me lead myself dangerously further down this path. I mentioned in an earlier post about Hayley doing burlesque--it was regarding the Noel Coward song 'Don't Put Your Daughter on the Stage Mrs Worthington'. I am not suggesting in any way that Hayley should ape Piaf. I do think she has what it takes to be as visually expressive as Piaf but in her own way and I do believe she could handle Piaf's songs likewise. I too love that song 'Je ne regrette rien'. Could I hear anyone else doing it? Perhaps Hayley, in her own way, yes? What are Stephany's views? AAh! That was written before I had caught up with her earlier comments. Peter S.
