What will be interesting for me is that I have NEVER EVER liked 'Danny Boy'!!
Perhaps Hayley can change my mind
It is interesting that you should say that because there have been a few songs that I have disliked in the past but Hayley's versions have always changed my mind very quickly. Two prime examples in my case are 'She Moves Through The Fair' and 'Wuthering Heights', the latter now being one of my Hayley favourites!
"Danny Boy" has always been one of my favourites and of course the album is being released just in time for St Patrick's Day when the song is ALWAYS No.1 on Classic FM's Most Wanted Chart . No doubt Richard will let us know when to cast our votes !
"My love is like a red, red rose that's newly sprung in June, My love is like a melody that's sweetly played in tune." (Robert Burns).
Well done last night, sounds like you had a very successful evening, Cadogan Hall is turning out to be a very kind venue to us this year . I hope we all get to meet up again there soon i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
Thanks so much, Roger, for this wonderful news about Hayley's new album! I can't wait until February 26th!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I'm really looking forward to hearing the songs Hayley wrote.
Like some of you, I'm not a huge fan of 'Danny Boy', but hopefully Hayley can change my mind!
