Hi Roger, That's good news as it was almost inevitable that Hayley would not be able to record an album in time for Christmas this year. I had hoped it would not be left until the second half of 2007! It looks like the sales of Odyssey Special Edition have gone well enough for them to be confident of another successful release outside the Christmas season. Mothers Day and Easter will help of course but Mothers Day is early next year, March 18th and Easter is 8th April. This would mean releasing at the beginning of March to take full advantage; I hope they can make it in time! But the question remains... what if anything will Decca release or promote for Christmas 2006? Cheers, Dave

Raymond Hi Roger and Raymond, Wow... that's great news about Hayley's new album! I only hope she doesn't exhaust herself- poor thing! If Hayley is planning to record a new album towards the end of this year, then that's all the more reason for her taking a good break back home in July! I was just thinking- hey, with a new album Hayley may very well be a likely nomination for the Classical Brits 2007!!! Regards, Andrew

Andrew Hi Andrew... nice try i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif but unfortunately, Hayley will miss the boat for the 2007 Classical Brits. The nominations will be the ten best selling *new* classical albums released in 2006 and I don't think Odyssey Special Edition will count as "new". We don't even know yet if next year's album will count as classical! The winner will, of course, be Katherine Jenkins. Only Hayley could have challenged her (again). Cheers, Dave

Hi Andrew, Actually no. If the album is released between January and December in any given year, it would be eligible for a Classical Brit nomination the following year. Our hope, therefore, is to see the next album up for an award in May 2008. Richard, how many days is that? Roger

Hello Roger and everybody! I can't work out how many days it is exactly until the 2008 Classical Brit awards, but I think it's just over 700! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAndrew, I've just been listening to Hayley's interview with Aled Jones on BBC Radio Wales this morning, and it seems she will not now be taking a break in New Zealand in July, because "something has come up". I presume this is the Castles tour with Il Divo. Best Wishes, Richard

To be fair on her, she'd need more than a week to relax back home... By the time she finally has time to stop and think about anything else it will be Christmas again! :je Recording the new album will take up a considerable amount of Hayley's time and energy. Regards, Andrew

I'd be very surprised if Hayley's new album doesn't count as a classical one. I guess we'll just have to see what route Hayley chooses to follow. We'll be there to support her though. Regards, Andrew

Huzzah! So, Roger, did Steve A tell you anything more about this album? Will the content change, or will it be the same kind of mix we've seen so far?
P.S. Either would be fine with me.
