Hi Folks. It's always obvious when you know how ! well I don't. So I assume there are other people who don't know how to use the section "Add Tags : " In the "Post Message" section. In fact there are many things I see done on the forum and I have no idea how you guys do it LIKE LARGE RED TYPE
This you may find all the more amusing because I am a typesetting professional, I use one or other of two professional graphics programmes almost every day of my working life. I used to use CorelDraw in the early nineties and it was a wonderful programme, very accurate and easy to use, Now I use one called Signlab which I like and can do almost anything I can think of with, so it's not a problem.
The second one is called Gerber Omega and it's enough to put you in a mental hospital. they use different words for things that would be simple and standard, something as obvious as OK or YES are replaced unnecessarily by other words anyway I digress.
Is there a set of instructions for basic typesetting in "Post Message" ?

Adding tags isn't as difficult as it appears. I don't know what you have worked out already, but the top line, at least is fairly easy.
Simply highlight the word or phrase that you want to add tags to, and then add all the tags one after the other.
There are two tags that require further action the "size" tag will default to '2', change that to a larger number to increase the size. If you choose the font tag (big red A) it will default to Verdana. Highlight it and type what font you want 'Arial' 'Times New Roman' etc.
That should keep you going for a while, I'm sure Richard will enlighten you on some of the more complicated ones. If he doesn't, I will
Hi Comet, I also have been in graphics for most of my working life. I was trained as a draughtsman on drawing boards & machines.
Eventually all that was changed when we all had to convert to using PC's & their corresponding programmes. Then we were told that we were too expensive by bosses who had no clue what we had to do to achieve our digital drawings.
I was quite proficient really but ended up with absolute zero knowledge of websites & posting etc etc.on HWI.
At first I asked Richard but found that very often the other guys would answer my questions as well. I started to make up notepad files with titles like "pic on pic" or "here" etc.
I have used a lot of bad language as this has gone on but eventually I've cottoned on. Using quote to find out how the code has been set up is a very good idea. Now you may do that .......Graeme
The loveliest, sweetest flower that bloomed in paradise, and the first that died, has rarely blossomed since on mortal soil. It is so frail, so delicate, a thing, it is gone if it but look upon itself; and she who ventures to esteem it hers proves by that single thought she has it not. Humility - Fry
Don't know whether you've already worked this out, but, if you look at the info centre at the bottom of the Forum home page, you will see an item called Forum Statistics.
What I always do is make a note of the 'total posts' figure when I log off. I check it again when I log back on to give me the total number of posts added in my absence. I then know how many to search for.
