Hi Stephany, ooh, I didn't notice that, I must have a look to see what's been happening! I rarely visit it though because though my username is still intact so I am a current member, I cannot once again log on (it says my password is wrong but it isn't) then when i ask for a reset, that doesn't work either. This happened a couple of months ago and I emailed the Admin and got it fixed but I can't and won't keep doing this, it's ridiculous. Grrrr!!! Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave, It would be easier for them to simply reset the forum and start it over again. But I suppose that they would lose everything (posts, pms, etc...) in doing this. Stephany

Hi everybody! I don't know if we're supposed to feel concerned about this but the forum administrator of Hayley's official site is looking for moderators (see here). Stephany

Hi Folks. The official forum reflects Hayley's public image and the perception people will have of her. If it concerns or effects Hayley, then I believe it concerns those who have Hayley's best interests at heart. So it would be better if it were ACTIVELY regulated by good moderators than left to drift the way it has been.
I'm not looking for the job as I cannot guarantee I would be available at any given time

Hello everybody! I'm pleased to see they're looking for a team of moderators for Hayley's official forum at last, but I'm not volunteering. I'm having too much fun keeping everybody things under control here, so somebody else can have the pleasure there! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

Hi Stephany
I think only good can come from this! Providing, of course. that the moderators that are appointed do the job properly and there's no reason to believe that they won't.
What the administrators should be looking for is a system like Roger's that removes non active members after a period of time so the 'total members' figure has some meaning.
It seems to me that there are fewer active members on the official forum than we have, despite the number shown being in the 1000's.
Lets hope that somehow they can make all their problems go away.
Best wishes Grant

Hello again folks! I can still log into Hayley's official forum, but I found all posts made since the end of April were showing as 'new'. I've just given myself repetitive strain injury by working through the forum board by board, clicking on the 'mark as read' button! I know, I should have clicked on the button at the foot of the Home page! Richard

Hi everybody! Paul, I understand very well how important it is for Hayley to have a 'stable' official forum because it is highly likely to be the place where the fans go first. For those reasons, I really hope that they do find qualified moderators. I'm not volunteering either because I have the feeling that I wouldn't like it as much as on HWI. I would consider it more like 'work'. What I like about HWI is that of course we have a certain level of order, but it's not just about strictly applying the rules, it's also about discussing and sharing. I'm not saying it can't be the same on the official forum, but considering the actual state of the message board, it will need a lot of time and efforts. Stephany

Is there any rules or whatnot about who can volunteer?
I have my own small unofficial forum so I have some experience keeping things orderly.

Hi Erin I don't see any reason why you can't volunteer to be a moderator. Why don't you ask the Administrator what the work entails and then you can decide if it's something you fancy having a go at. Best wishes Grant

Thank you grant. One question though... Do you mean the administrator of this forum or the official Hayley forum?
