Good grief, why does youtube exist if everything's illegal?
It's my understanding that YouTube subscribers are reminded about the Digital Millennium Copyright Act before each video is uploaded. As YouTube cannot view each item, this Act allows the copyright holder to file a claim in order to have the item deleted. YouTube has grown so quickly that many choose not to pursue these claims.
BTW, did you happen to see Josh on the David Foster & Friends PBS special? Josh sang 'You Raise Me Up' and 'Bridge over Troubled Waters'? WOW
Generally speaking, where a video includes a complete recording of a track that is commercially available on a CD, DVD or download, it would be an infringement of copyright unless it was posted by the artist's own record company or management team. Links on the forum to offending videos will be removed by the moderators. If you're uncertain about a particular video, please don't post the link.
Last May, Josh starred in a spectacular rendition of Tim Rice, Benny Andersson, and Bjorn Ulvaeus' classic musical, "Chess". Recorded at the legendary Royal Albert Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, "Chess In Concert" will be released on CD/DVD on June 16th, and will air on PBS nationally on June 17th as part of the "Great Performances" series. Check your local listings for details."
Josh was on Oprah this past Wednesday. The episode was about the all-time favorite "surprises" ever on the show, and one involving Josh was the first one they showed. He then surprised a young lady in the audience, which I think in the future will be another new favorite surprise! Watch all of it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dFRAdyETOY I love every bit of it! It's all so cute.
New site Nov. 9th. Most likely then we will find out about the new album. In one of his tweets he said something about "new tunes in December", but December seems like a weird time to release an album that's not a Christmas one. Maybe he just means we'll be able to hear some of the new songs then.
