 ODYSSEY International Tracklisting
« Thread Started on Jul 11, 2005, 4:52pm »

Hi folks,

I received an email from Hayley's manager just a few minutes ago giving the tracklisting for the international version of ODYSSEY.

The following applies to the WORLD excluding UK, Japan, North America.

1) Prayer
2) Never Saw Blue
3) Dell'Amore Non Si Sa
4) Ave Maria by Caccini
5) Both Sides Now
6) What You Never Know (Won't Hurt You)
7) May It Be
8) Quanta Qualia
9) Bachianas Brasilieras
10) She Moves Through The Fair
11) I Say Grace
12) My Heart Belongs To You

So, there you have it folks. To me, a very exciting album indeed.

Keith.

Hello Keith and Roger! ;)

It certainly looks good to me, but I hope Wiegenlied is going to be on the UK version. ::)

The wait is agonising, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end! ;D

Bye for now,

Richard 8-)

thanks I hope the US one has more songs on it. I am going to get the NZ one the UK one and the US one . I am going to get the NZ one because I can not wait. I see that what you never know is the Sarah Brigthman song. thanks Roger for that tracklist. I think the UK one would most likly be different because if she whats it on the Uk classical chart she would have to have some more classical songs on it.

Great stuff Keith! Oh look, it's the same as the one I posted in my signature for Japan - can I have another wrapper? :D ;D

Next, I feel a guess at the UK version coming on... ;)

Hi Richard, well there are only three definite classical songs on there, although I'm hoping "I Say Grace" is also classical - but I can't find an *exact* match anywhere on the Internet. So for what it's worth, I think Wiegenlied will have to be on the UK version as they need more classical. I think Dido's Lament is on there, and probably something from "A Mozart Piano Concerto" (they were originally listed for Japan, then removed). But it's still not enough classical :o so Hayley needs to come up with a couple more (since when has a minor problem like that ever stopped Hayley? ;) )

Then, we need to guess which of the "pop" songs will be dropped for the UK... I think it will have 5 pop and 8 classical. One thing is for sure, they won't be dropping Hayley's song, so that's one we don't need to worry about! ;D

I hope they do not drop any songs from the Uk one as I think this list is kind of short . I know one of the songs is over 5 mins long . I like cds that are over 50 mins. I hope the UK and US ones have about 14-16 songs on it. And one of the songs that you can call classical is not all classical it has some word music to it. And the other classical songs is compandy . So to me there is one song that you can reallys say is classical . But with theses songs you would have to have a arrnment that is classical for than to be that there were some person that did theses songs in a more "popuar " Way.

With She Moves Through The Fair if she has Bittens one of it . It can be say as classical but if she has the one that you find in lord of the dance it can not.

But it is going to be very hard for it to be put on the classical chart . Some of the pop songs are a little more pop than the stuff on prue.

Hi Keith,
many thanks for the tracklist - and thanks to Steve that he kept his promise from Kenwood House when we met him.
For me are 7 titles unknown by her names. But I will take a look at the internet to find some more information and some excamples from other singers maybe to listen what kind of songs these are.

Hi Kimberly,

Yes it is indeed 'Aria (Cantilena)' as appears of the DVD. I have to say that it is my least favourite of the tracks on the DVD but I guess one of them had to be. However, it is something which may prove very popular and could boost sales if it is broadcast on classical radio stations around the world.

BTW. Congratulations Kimberly. You must be one of the fastest members ever to pass fifty posts and be "promoted" into the junior category. Keep 'em coming. :)

Lovely list of songs! Only one thing would make it more perfect...if we could hear it of course! lol.

Keith do you know if "Prayer" is the same one Becky Taylor recently recorded on "By Your Side?" That would be interesting if they had both recorded the same song. I was hoping it was "The Prayer" which Josh Groban, Charlotte Church, Celin Dion and Adrea have all recorded.

Either way if Hayley recorded it, it will be brilliant!

I can't believe you people don't like Aria! It's like one of my favourites! I love that it has no words. The tune is really beautiful, and it shows off Hayley's pure voice. I love singing along to that song. ;D

But Cathleen, some of us LOVE Aria! I feel like prodding Roger in the back whenever he tells us that he doesn't like it. ;D But I'll forgive Kimberley ;)

I have a strong feeling that, well as Hayley sung "Aria" live on the DVD, her studio recording of it will be something OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! :D
