Just home at 10 pm BST to catch some of the last acts of the Jubillee concert on BBC Radio 2. Commentary can be found on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Thanks to the Tune-in radio app for IPad :)

Ok. Something SUPER cool happened today!!! So, right now my family is taking a vacation in D.C., and we went to the Capitol Building (naturally). We went in, got checked and all, and got in line. We had to go into this little theatre, and watch an intro-type short film. I was like, “Ugghh, this is gonna be SOOOO cheesy.” And it was kinda cheesy, but not bad. Ok, here comes the good part. So, like all movies there was music to go with it. And near the end there was vocalise part. I listened really close, and I thought, “Hmmm, that sounds a LOT like Hayley. But there's only one Hayley. Hm.” Then, at the end, I heard a familiar theme. It was Listen To The Wind. :D :D Hayley wasn't singing it, just instrumental, but it made me smile inside. I thought to myself, “Hundreds of people every day hear Hayley, and they don’t event know it!!!”. Of all the things that happened today, that was definitely one of my favorites. ;D ;D ;D I believe that the part with Hayley was track 3 on the CD. Just play it, and you'll see why they chose it to go with magnificent views of the US prairies, Grand canyon, and mountains. ;)

Hi Taylor :)

Whoa...cool stuff!

As well as the song, Hayleys' voice could be on those audio tours!

Enjoy the rest of your vacation!

No Simba, it has never been remotely suggested or hinted by any 'official' source that Hayley would be involved in the Diamond Jubilee concert. The speculation was by members who obviously hoped that it would happen... but that's a different thing altogether.

Cheers, Dave

Hi Simba,

The Guernsey concert was just a local concert by local promoters (which they didn't promote very well!) to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. It wasn't ever part of the official Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.

I'll move this and the posts leading up to it into the chat thread in a minute, there are no problems continuing it there if you wish. ;)

Cheers, Dave

I've found out where Colonel Sanders got his finger-lickin' big break, back in 1963:

No I'm not going to post a quote, so you'll all have to click on the hidden link. I'm saying nothing about my Rachmaninoff joke a few weeks ago! :-X

Well, the third nearest food outlet to where I live is a KFC joint. The other two are fish and cip shops. Never been to the KFC joint!

The best thing about Father Day is that, if you're lucky you get Grandchildren.

Hi all
Does anyone have any idea where I can get a battery powered/ wind up charger for a blackberry phone? As I'm going to be camping and working in a field for the next two weeks starting Sunday I won't have any access to electricity to charge my phone I don't expect I'll use it very much but will still be useful in the event of an emergency!!
Thanks

Sing ;)
