Hello again Morten, and thank you for your nice comments about Hayley. I don't think there's any doubt that Hayley is aiming for a life-long career as a singer. I particularly admire the way she's allowing her voice to develop naturally without forcing it, and she gave a fascinating insight into how she looks after it at Olympia three weeks ago. Have a look at the Reviews section on the main site for a brief outline. I've known Hayley just over 18 months now, and my opinion of her has never changed the slightest bit in all that time. I think Decca have the same opinion as well, but whatever else happens, all her fans will stay solidly behind her all over the world. I hope nobody tries to cash in on her success by trying to imitate her while she's still successful, and I promise that's going to be a long time! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Bye for now, Richard

The Hans Christian Andersen show was shown on Australian TV channel SBS. Morten and Hayley duet was included. I sure hope they will show it in NZ too..................... www20.sbs.com.au/sbs_front/index.html

More for you, Andrew! This event was two years ago and even though I wouldn't say Hayley has changed drastically, she did change a bit.

Hi all,
Not sure if this has been posted before . I came across a Never Saw Blue performance earlier this year from the Hans Christian Andersen 200yrs birthday celebration show in Denmark on April 2.
If I'm not mistakened, the "Children First" song was premiered at the same show as well.
It's in svcd format and I did not make this video
Allen With thanks to Allen I have just converted this wonderful video of Hayley singing " Never Saw Blue" into a higher quality Windows Media format than we've seen before... and it's now up in the HWI 2005 Archive here. I have locked the original short thread about this new video, to avoid duplication. I have moved this thread to the Media board as it was priimarily a TV event. I bet you Never Saw Blue Like That before! Cheers, Dave

Great video, Dave.
Beautiful dress in the earlier posts in this thread too, thanks to Stephany - as always!
I saw some of that show in a clip on YouTube some time ago. Didn't match yours for quality!
Thank you.

Hi Dave, This brings us back to a question I have asked before. How do new members know such things are hidden away in HWI archives ? Another problem is that my computer will not play the video vault from 2005, is this a general problem or just mine? It is OK for more recent years but the 'old big TV type cabinet' is a no go. The response from the few members who had time to respond to my post suggest there must be lot of members who had not seen it before, and would certainly have looked at HWI sources a) If they could, and b) IF THEY KNEW. It is a job to keep track of the current material; never mind archives over the years before a member joined. I know you are aggrieved that your work, time, and effort has been 'stolen' which is a different issue, but is there a way to help the HWI members ?
With much appreciation for what you do, and Best Wishes, Graham

Hi Graham, I found it by searching the Media board for "Never Saw Blue" for the last few years (1500 days I tend to use) which brought up all the relevant threads. In the threads with it in the title, I found the links to the website video. So if you come across something interesting on YouTube or elsewhere, it's often worthwhile doing that search in the forum as you may find a better quality version (or the original!) linked to on the main site. If you or others cannot view things that others seem to be able to view, you can either mention it in the relevant Media Board thread or (especially if it's a problem with more than one video), in Technical Support and we (or anyone who knows) can see if there's an easy solution to it. I can only test videos with the browsers I have, which are Firefox, IE and Navigator so if you use a different browser, trying one of the above may help. If many members cannot play the old videos with the above mentioned browsers (which I can) then we have a problem to solve... Cheers, Dave

Thanks for the update Dave and I agree whole heartedly - your version is miles better than the youtube one! I also discovered my post in this thread back at the end of October last year (knew I'd seen the video with the mermaids before!!) What I perhaps hadn't realised though, if this recording dates from April 2005 it predates the release of Odyssey, so the different lyrics also predate the recorded version. No doubt for the purpose of that particular show. It just goes to show, though, that there is so much information here it's not only hard to keep up with it, it's also difficult remembering what you've seen, even if it was only 3 months ago!! Best wishes Grant

Thanks for the update Dave and I agree whole heartedly - your version is miles better than the youtube one! Hello Grant, Not any more i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif and here we are again! Somehow, I can't help coming back to this video from time to time, I find it fascinating! Now that YouTube allow High Definition videos, I have gone back to the original to create an even higher quality version than the one I did last time. Even though the original is not technically in HD, it is good enough to demand the best that YouTube can give... and that means upconverting it to HD size (1280 x 720). This has the added benefit of improving the audio quality too, compared to their normal HQ mode. The version now on our YouTube hwivid channel is by far the best quality version ever seen on the Internet, so here it is: Never Saw Blue 2005, Copenhagen - never seen like this before!YouTube HD is at 2 mbps so members whose internet connection is not fast enough to play the video in HD should pause the video until the red status bar indicates that it has fully loaded on their computer. Cheers, Dave

I really like this video - one of the most imaginative! I wonder if Wii got the idea for their Endless Ocean game from this! <3 Caitlin
