It was very beautiful. I loved her dress choice, too! It's the Angel & the Fallen dress. I'm so glad she chose that one to wear. I also like her spring green dress with the flowers on it!
And yes, I agree now, the song worked very well with the program.
I noticed she was a little bit shaky when she first started, which was most likely due to the emotional story that was just told before she came on stage, and the fact they were showing those people in the audience. The lady was quite emotional during Hayley's performance, although it had more to do with the story of her father, I'm sure. But I'm sure she enjoyed Hayley's song, too! Hopefully everybody else did, too. I couldn't imagine anyone not enjoying it!

Very beautiful and emotional performance by Hayley. I'm pretty much speechless. Hayley's performance of 'Pie Jesu' was a perfect finish to the very emotional story of a young woman's quest to learn about her father who was killed in Vietnam . Then to follow her performance with the lone bugle playing taps was very powerful. In my opinion, Hayley had the most difficult part of the concert to perform and she was outstanding.
As an aside, I found it interesting that the orchestra played Gabrlel's Oboe during the Vietnam story segment just before Hayley sang.

Hello folks!
I've never really liked Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Pie Jesu' before, but that is definitely the best performance I've ever heard. Hayley has regained the bell-like quality in her voice, and she looked beautiful too.
