Hi all. Is anyone still having problems with Hayley Store. We had our money back through PayPal for a Satchel we ordered and did not arrive. We then had the email from Gerald saying sorry and the like. So we re-ordered expecting to get it quickly but still no satchel after waiting over 2 months and no reply to my email from Gerald. To all those that know us. I have not been able to get on to the website much and Abigails mum has now been told that she has Alzheimer's on top of the Parkinson's so getting on the website is not as often as I would like. We hope to catch up with you all soon. Robert

Hi Robert,
The delivery / communication in relation to the Hayley Store has always been rather slow. It took 3 months for my order to arrive at the beginning of this year - however that was attributed to a computer virus.
I would suggest emailing the Hayley Store again to see if you can get a reply.

Does anyone know if the HayleyWestenra.com Online store really works. I ordered a shirt and cap over 42 days ago and have received nothing, not even an email concerning this matter. I have emailed them 3 times and no response. I have verified through Pay Pal that all moneys were delivered, so it is beginning to leave me with a very bad feeling. It is most disturbing to think that sales from her own Official Site may be a sham.If anyone knows of some other contact point I can use to get this resolved , it would be most appreciated. Thank you and have a great day.

Hi mercy, I am sure someone else will give you a proper explanation, but for now, I can only tell you my speculations. If it is the same store that I think it is, it is probably the one owned and managed by Gerald, Hayley's father. I remember quite a few reports from members about problems in the delivery of articles from that store, I don't remember the reason. But now, the reason may well be the recent earthquake that a couple of months ago hit Christchurch, leaving Gerald without his main jewellery business, by destroying the building where it was fit... I don't know if the eathquake also affected any physical part of the Online Store infrastructure, but I think it's reasonable to suggest that Gerald's current situation may not let him pay attention to the store. Hopefully, someone else can confirm my speculatiosn or give you the right answer.

That would be my view too. We don't even know where the stock was stored - that may have suffered in the quake too, but I think Gerald will have a lot on his mind at the moment.

Hello Mercy,
Hayley Store has for a long time been very slow in fulfilling orders and some HWI members have reported longer delays than that. Having said that, as others have mentioned, the Earthquake may have affected things considerably so I will make some enquiries tomorrow, to see what I can find out.

Thank you all for your prompt replies. This information is very helpful and I will remain patient a while longer as I was not aware that the online store was possibly housed in Christchurch ( for some reason I thought it was in England ), anyways, thanks again for all your help.

I ordered a poster back in early February and it never came. Emails to the store website and Hayley's management team went unanswered. I missed the deadline to dispute the transaction through PayPal, but I was able to get a chargeback from my credit card company. I wonder why they would leave the Hayley store up if so many people are having problems. I guess I'll have to watch eBay or something.
Or if it magically shows up at my door someday, I'll do the honorable thing and notify the credit card company and re-pay for the item, but the Hayley store should also do the honorable thing and offer a refund. Leaving people hanging for months with absolutely zero communication is a poor way to run a business. At the very least set up an automatic email responder or put a message on the website telling you to expect delays.
It's an unfortunate situation but fortunately it hasn't diminished my love for Hayley and her music. I recently bought "Paradiso" which is awesome, and if she ever comes to the United States I'll go see her in concert.

Hi Ben,
Some things you need to know.
1. The Hayley Online Store is run by Hayley's Dad, Gerald. 2. Gerald's business premises were destroyed by the earthquake in Christchurch last February. It is possible that he lost his record of orders that have been placed. 3. But even without that, I had a similar experience, having given up hope that my order would ever be delivered. I had even sent Gerald a message, asking him to donate the money to one of Hayley's charities if he couldn't fulfil the order. Then, one day, months later, it appeared in the post.
