Hi Dave and Jim
Thanks for the info and links - I see it's unreserved seating so it will no doubt be "get there early if you want a good seat".
Anyone any idea of seating capacity?
Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant and Joe, That venue guide link I posted says it's 800 capacity - all on wooden pews! So definitely it's a "get there early" kind of place! Also from that link www.londonvenueguide.com/union-chapel.html which is a "must read!" : Cheers, Dave

As I'm Cambridge that week on a course and my connections for my train journey is London, a stopover is possibility, any recommendations for where to stay?

Yes, all concerts at Union Chapel have unreserved seating so getting there early is essential in order to get a good (hard) seat. I went with Mark to see Hayley there as a guest of the Canadian Tenors a few years ago and managed to get a front row bench thanks to Steve Abbott. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMartin

Hi Martin and all My very first Hayley concert, on 22nd September 2005, was at St James Piccadilly - we sat on pews then, so this concert should bring back a few special memories i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes Grant

I don't yet know what time I'll be getting into London friday afternoon, I'm hoping before 5pm to give me a chance to get to my hotel and hopefully meet up with some familiar faces beforehand

Hmmm.. got to think about this one. Mostly how to travel and where to stay (if anywhere). Just off the A1, so should be easy to find. Or could camp at Welwyn Garden City and see if the tube or some other convenient service reaches there. Ot drive home afterwards.
London is often a problem, even a no-go area because if things like the congestion charge, although I gather the Chapel is outside the congestion charge area.
But, no need to jump in at 9am sharp to get a good seat, although I would think it will sell out fast.
Licensed bar in a Church? My own church too is of Congregational persuasion, and doesn't allow alcohol on the premises - not even communion wine!

This is very exciting, I'd love to go to this I'm already beginning to think of things to do for my 21st which is three days before this concert, would be a great treat, might have to physically drag my friends with me though unfortunately, hopefully I'll get someone to come with me fingers crossed. Hi Sing,
There will be plenty of HWI folk there you can be sure. They will all be pleased to meet you. I'll be on my own too, since Sue is off to Liverpool with her female friends for the weekend. Only problem is who will look after the dog!
